Great work! I’m always impressed by 24-hour comics, zines, and the like. Good thinking with moving the reactions to page two, it helped with the pacing and building suspense. 😁

0:04 are those the steps in order? If so this will help me for my one shots a whole lot.

Generally yes! You could include a few inbetween if needed like "rough draft" after storyboarding and before inking. You could also add "coloring" and "posting online/promoting" at the very end as well. In general though, the steps shown at 0;04 usually cover the entire process!

You realize that from your description, you could always make a webcomic in 24 hours too, right? With my own webcomic project, I try to find a suitable middle ground between slice-of-life and action/adventure type stuff, kinda’ like Steven Universe, which almost certainly borrows a lot from magical girl anime at some point. Still, I think the 2D Animated Disney Art Style is my personal favorite, especially Treasure Planet, you know?

Love the final result it turned out amazing. Also do you no how to get ideas when your trying to figure out what to draw? I'm the middle of an art block and I just can't pull myself away from drawing and thinking up story and character ideas, but at the same time I got nothing (I'm also a fan of yo-kai watch!).

If you cant pull yourself away from drawing and thinking up story/character ideas, I wouldn't stop yourself! Even if your just doing "random things" you can still use those ideas later! As far as ideas to draw, I really like that "one sentence concept" thing I mentioned in the video. Usually I'll come up with one sentence that interests me and go from there!

@@MonitorComics Thanks for the suggestion! I will try that more often. Also love your videos they're very helpful with and have been helping me with my stories.

The title is a bit clickbaity, I normally can finish a page in like 6-8 hours, but one day sounded more catchy

Thats amazing love the end result! 🥹💜 do you think this process is also possible with a Webtoon that gets weekly updated with a new episode?
@MonitorComics
@MonitorComics 27 күн бұрын
Yes! The only major difference is the format, since Webtoons are vertical, there are different panel layouts that are more common. You would also need to add a step for coloring at the end since most are full color. Other than that though, the process is generally the same!

@ tysm!! Also Do you have suggestions/tips on how to stick to a specific deadline when it comes to monthly/weekly publishing of your manga/webtoon?? 🥹 I been working on my story for roughly 10 months now and the drawing process itself is taking months lol😭
