I'm loving this sketchbook tour stuff. I dunno if its just for the holidays, but this should honestly be a recurring segment indefinitely. Also, yall have your comics course right now and its fantastic, but I'm wondering if you've ever thought about maybe doing something like that for manga? I know there's a huge market for manga, and plenty of people who start learning to draw specifically because of anime and manga, so i feel like some content about it would be well received.

Please someone tell the Procreate developers to bring the lasso draw feature. Just like in Clip Studio. Yes, it is available in the lasso tool, but like the one in Clip Studio and the plug-in in Photoshop, it is not very useful.

I get where you're coming from! Everything until the end of this week will be part of this year's 12 Days series. They're all in a playlist on our channel if you need to find them all together in the future. Hope that helps! 🔗kzbin.info/www/bejne/kHmXfoSCa7F1arc We titled and gave them thumbnails for the long-term life of the videos and what they contain. Someone looking through our videos or searching KZbin in the future will get more from this. Thanks for liking this series of videos. Enjoy the video with Bryce Kho tomorrow!

Loving these videos, per usual, and a big fan of the site! One small suggestion: please double-check the spelling of "references"; it's misspelled several times in the video and detracts from the overall presentation quality. Thanks for all the valuable content and efforts.

HEY IS IT IMPORTANT TO ADD A SCREEN PROTECTOR TO YOUR IPAD OR NOT? IN CASE OF DRAWING OF COURSE. CAN ANYBODY PLEASE HELP ?
@ProkoTV14 күн бұрын
If you're using the Apple Pencil, you won't damage the screen with drawing. But many artists add it because of the feeling. Some people feel entirely okay with drawing right on the smooth screen. Others, including us, choose to use a paper like screen protector to give it more of the feeling of paper. We feel it reduces wrist fatigue as well because you're not having to use fine motor control to hold your pencil in place carefully on the slick surface. It doesn't matter what brand. Any "paper like" texture screen protector is a great addition, in our view.

I admit I'm struggling with the concept of a digital sketchbook
@ProkoTV11 күн бұрын
Why?
@ZETAGeTh11 күн бұрын
@@ProkoTV I don't know. When I think about a sketchbook, I'm used to thinking about pen and paper-a physical book. Having a digital "sketchbook" makes me think of just having a bunch of digital drawing files inside a folder on my PC, not a 'book for sketches' as I imagine a sketchbook to be. And please, don't misunderstand. I draw digitally myself, so it's got nothing to do with being against digital drawing or anything like that. It's just that I'm having difficulty grasping the concept.
@ProkoTV10 күн бұрын
@@ZETAGeTh I gotcha! For your digital work, you put the same amount of work into those pieces as anyone else with a traditional sketchbook. They're typically organized chronologically like a sketchbook is. You can take it around with you on a tablet. And they can exist in pretty much all the same ways as a traditional sketchbook. Don't try to divide up your art into categories by how they were made unless you have to when you're thinking about how to make something for a project because of its strengths/weaknesses for accomplishing your goals. The work you make digitally is just as valid :D
@ZETAGeTh10 күн бұрын
@@ProkoTV I'll try. Perhaps the fact that I only draw digitally at home on a PC is making it harder for me to adapt to the concept, as I don't have a drawing tablet, and the idea of taking my digital drawings with me outside the house is something I've never done. I'll try to follow your advice. I'll work on it. Thank you for taking the time to reply to me.
@ZETAGeTh10 күн бұрын
@@ProkoTV By the way, I know I may be taking advantage of our conversation with this, but if there was a chance you could publish more videos about digital sketching and digital sketchbooks, it could be very beneficial for those of us who are having a hard time with the concept to get more familiar with it. Now, I haven't watched every video on Proko, so if you've already done so, it's on me to find those xD

Do I need to find a producer for my work? It feels like being hired is like winning the lottery...I can't decide whether or not I'm good enough or it's just not an industry in America for black guys....
@ProkoTV13 күн бұрын
Animation is a very diverse field. But it's in the middle of a big shift that's changed the availability of jobs currently. I don't think you need to find a producer for your work to get seen or get you hired. But make sure you're doing networking whenever you can. That's one of the best things you can do in a project-based field like animation. Meet as many people as you can, take on some other smaller tasks on a project when you can, joining challenges and keep posting online. Like Alaine mentions, her social posts have been one of the things that got her noticed and hired. That's really common in animation. Hope you find something soon!

Don't mind me asking you the difference between Illustrator and character design just wanna Know@@flourishd1
@fenrisform14 күн бұрын
@@flourishd1 exactly. it's more of 'simplified' for animation. You can't animate a fully detailed character design. that's really gonna cook your brain. you can only do that in 3D.
