Everything I'm hearing about this Ioniq 9 seems pretty good. My wife and I will definitely put this on the list of possible next vehicles.

Maybe the Chicago thing might not have happened if the owners of the cars had pressed the screen to do this BEFORE they arrived....Teslas can automatically precondition the battery when they know they're going to be charged. For example, if you select a nearby charging location in the sat nav, your Tesla will automatically precondition on the way. WARMS UP BATTERY!

I would like to see more comparisons to the Kia now that they are going to start sales. The Genesis version is going to be killer.
@deansmits006Ай бұрын
Will there be a Genesis EV this size soon? EGMP or different chassis?
@normanli7085Ай бұрын
@@deansmits006 the GV90. But since it will be full size, it needs to be over 200 inches long and an inch taller than the ioniq 9.

Andre 'drove' it on the ice but we know nothing about how's it's different from EV9 'on the road'. I'd guess it's just same as EV9 on the road. Nevertheless, the new IONIQ 9 will most likely be my first EV. I really like Hyundai's design decision except the design decision of the third side window.

Did you mean below zero *Celsius* temperatures? Great video, BTW. I'm glad you clarified the 7/9 issue. A few videos use the old name which is a bit confusing. Maybe they have plans to build an Ionic 7 later? Maybe an 8 as well?

They have -12*C in Arjeplog at the moment according to SMHI. Don't know how they had it in March, but February is the coldest month here down south and -17*C is not that cold up there.
@mjsabie851725 күн бұрын
Pretty sure he meant 0F. That is actually much colder than 0C. The temperatures Chicago on the day he was talking about were about -10 F. I was driving my Mach E home from ohare airport that night. It was miserable

So basically its a mini van with out sliding doors.
@SnerdlesАй бұрын
Yep, no versatile doors, no flip fold seats due to a battery pack, limited range, half hour stops every 2 hours of driving on road trips... It fails on basically every comparison to a minivan as a versatile family hauler functional vehicle that is great for road trips. It's perfect for taking the kids and their friends to soccer practice though.

Why do you EV haters come to the channel if you just can't learn more and understand the tech. Andre and the TFL team have some cool exclusives and love it. Keep up the good work TFL.
@deansmits006Ай бұрын
MSRP on more popular trims, yes, more than 70k- could be less with combined rebates. Range- claimed all more than 300 miles, but as with all cars, YMMV. Cost on battery replacement? No idea. All battery production is going into new cars, not so much into spare parts. Will vary over time. So you got about 1/3 on your simplistic statements

Okay I'm daily driving an ioniq 5 as a Uber driver. 184574km since November 2022. That's almost 9 years worth of driving. The saving on gas and maintenance compared to a gas car on that 9 years span has pretty much paid up for the car, talking of 44k+ savings, and the car after gov rebate here in Québec was 45.5k Cad. Try doing that with any gas car. A gas car is a money pit that you will never be able to recoup on. Ev's you can.
