After seeing how the sheepshead were curious about the GoPro camera hitting the bottom, would it make sense going forward to first 'cal' the sheepshead to the site you are about to fish by dropping down something that would attract them? Perhaps a large sinker can be dropped to the bottom on top of those broken shells a couple of times, followed immediately by your trusty baited sheepshead setup. And fish on! That might work.
