Movie Facts - though it is widely considered that’s John Wick’s mustang is a Boss 429 (mentioned incorrectly in movie) - not by Jonn Wick of Course 🍿 it is indeed a 1969 Mach 1 see article - bestmoviecars.com/2014-john-wick-1969-ford-mustang/

Great car. I remember my dad had a 69. We got pulled over one night after passing a cop who was going the opposite direction going through a curve. He pulled us over for what he thought was a burnt out headlight. He got a good laugh out of it after he realized he couldn’t see the passenger side headlight going through the curve because how far back the outside (lowbeam) headlights sat....he laughed and told us to have a good night. Memories in mustangs. By the way, my 79 year old dad still drives hot rods. He loves his 2019 5.0.

Starting in 69 a rare option for a handful of these 69 cars was called the "Drag Pack" which had an oil cooler, forged pistons and 427 lemans racing connecting rods and a different harmonic balancer I believe, and the option of 3.91 or 4:30 gears for the 4 speed!

My father had a 1969 Mach 1 428 cobra jet K car with the shaker hood scoop all original # matching car...It was red with black and gold trim...Had a 4 speed manual....3.90 rear gear with a 9 inch rear...He bought the car in late fall 1992 for $8,500.00 in Jackson Mississippi...He sold it in 2001 for 11,000.00 in one day to the 1st looker...Needless to say the phone rang off the hook for a week with offers of 25K and more....I begged him never to sell that car...If I had the money and my own place at the time I would still have it....How is this for a kicker , the car was assembled in Edison NJ where we lived at the time...How that could have made a great story of a car's voyage home....I am still sick over that car being sold to this day...I have to dig some photos of it and show you next I see you in person Stangmode.
