@@hinugundamB Not really, you only ever pick up a low tier trip, save for specific cards like macaw, because you already have 2 in play so it only costs you 4 gold to discover a minion from a tier up. 4 gold to discover a higher tier minion is a decent deal but 9 isn't. Her hp just guarantees you exactly that every 4 turns.

The taunt would have especially been important once the enemy had the selfless hero, because it would kill the parrot before it could be given divine shield, thus guaranteeing that the poison gets a significant kill and doesn't get eaten by the divine shield.

The infested wolf sort of reminds me of a previous complaint Kripp has had with Hearthstone before: Why do you purposefully make bad cards? Rat is a strictly better wolf. With very very very little work you get more out of rat than you ever will wolf and it's on a lower tier. It makes no sense. If the wolf spawned 2 2/2s it'd be totally reasonable to choose, but to spawn 1/1s in a world where rat does it far better just doesn't make sense.

Excuse my stupid question, but I don't know how to play this game at all, so... Is the value in getting a triple more often in the minion you discover off it than the triple itself? It seemed like the minion Kripp tripled right at the start was a weak one, so I wondered why he bothered, but then he got to select a hopefully better minion using the triple reward card.

For most minions, the minion selection is often better than the triple, but some cards such Brann and Rivendare have really powerful effects only obtainable by tripling them. Also, since a triple is effectively two cards in one, it also saves on board space, making tripling cards like Mama Bear or Wrath Weaver really good as well.

This varies a lot from card to card. Some cards can get a lot stronger when golden because it will double their ability. Like the gold grubber that sky rocketed it’s stats because it was getting +4 in stats instead of +2. This can of course not matter at all for some cards like the card at the start, which had no ability to double and double base states don’t really matter for it. But golding it does have advantages, it just it will give you three random cards from a higher tier that you can’t choose, and it’s just a luck thing at that point, and this time Krip got unlucky with his choices. But he could have gotten lucky and gotten a shifter which could then give him a tier 5 or 6 minion.

Hmmmm... If you attack first with Zapp, he dies while killing Maexxna and opponent eventually gets +48/+48 buff on every minion. (+216/+216 total stats) If you attack second with Zapp, he kills baron after the parrot attacks, resulting in eventual +32/+32 buff. (+184/+184 total stats, but in most cases allowing an extra 13/13 dinosaur to spawn, so more like +197/+197) If you attack first without Zapp, you kill the Goldrinn, resulting in +24/+24 buff. (+120/+120 total stats) If you attack second without Zapp, you kill the Goldrinn, resulting in +48/+48 buff (+264/+264 total stats) So it looks like having a Zapp gives your opponent an average of slightly below +206,5/+206,5 stats and not having Zapp gives your opponent an average of +192/+192 stats. So by raw stats it looks like getting rid of the Zapp was the correct move there. But a case could be made where you'd be strong enough to beat the 216 buff every time but weak enough to lose to 264 buff every time. And in that case the average would be misleading because it would realistically be simply either 0% to lose with Zapp or 50% to lose without him. But calculating those odds isn't something I'd do, so average stats will have to do.
