To answer some of your questions: You do not need to do the new area in order to complete the hard modes you can just skip it and go straight to kaminela and ericha, it's completely optional. Adding on that, you can also open the portal with the gems and just not go in. The portal will stay open, not requiring you to collect gems, for future runs until you decide to go in again. For the piggy bank you can defeat the final boss and equip it right before talking to the npc to take you back to the village and it will take effect without hindering your fight.

Hello Beelz. Time to expand on your game knowledge a bit. Thanks for feeding my Dungreed contend addiction. Pandora feels like the weakest character for two reasons: First is negative defence and second is low crits (anti-synergy with Blood of Sorbeo). Basically her survivability is at all times lowest. The best weapon for stat build is the blow gun. It's one-handed so you can hold the fire flower in the off hand making you deal both poison and fire, not to mention it's skill which makes poison viable. It's quithe hard to come by the cold damage source. Also greed is the most powerful skill tree but not for additional accessory slot. The best part about greed is the ability to eat more, offsetting the stat difference to Pandora and further boosting any other character. I wast tricked to thinking that Wrath is the best way to gain damage but Greed is way better in the long run. However, Wrath is still good for Lasley because he can't change his max hp. I would like you to try Lasley run in the future with patience (defence) tree. They reworked it. Previously it regained at around 30% hp. Now you regen at fixed 28 hp or less, meaning for Lasley's max of 40, 28 is more than a half of his health. There is also Bloodlust tree which has returning health, might work for Pandora, kinda solving her defensive issue, and one of the best trees for Livna (I unlocked her too since the past video) as she has masochism. There is also the ranged tree, it's best effect is at 10, healing you for 2 hp per cleared room, it adds up quickly. And at 5, when you hold any ranged weapon it gives you 20 max hp and some defence (again, not too bad for pandora, espectially with Lara's magic wand) and you cam abuse max hp to gain more health from fairies. When you need to heal gust switch to melee and get more % health recovered which directly converts to more health when you switch back to ranged. There is also the comet tree. Previously Fortune cookie is one of the better items in the game so I prefer to actually get it's set in my inventory (in my experience it prevents the items to drop from boss chests again). You should get rid of the cookie only when you are adamant that there is nothing you want to change in your build and for Pandora it's probably until the end of the game. Also Junk shop Owner's pistol is quite good, especially in it's set with ring of suppression (by the way, I am now sure that there is no "reverse" item for it). The set makes pistol's effect active (meaning it has 50% chance to instant reload) and gives 50 power completely negating the ring's debuff without changing it's buff. Quite good. Also about power. It increases damage dependig on weapon, meaning harder hitting weapons gain more from power. Snipers get better but things like Vine sword do not, power is almost meaningless to them, unlike true damage. Also Anvils improve weapon's base damage meaning power is also more effective. I once had Hecate run where a single bullet delt 450 crit and 200 base. The tree sage set is good because both parts of the set are really good. It's one of my favorites. I am miledy disappointed that you didn't take the true damage at the anvil when you could. Aethera actually gains attack speed for each unique status, so poison stacks do not count. I am sure that poison, burn, sock and frost do count and not yet sure if stun and "weaken" from bloodlust do. Stromboli is not good for livna. It does a lot of moderately hard hits. One of the better weapons for livna is cosmic (moonlight) sword constantly critting for 100+. Or the Lightbringer bow from the wings' set. I usualy dont use charged weapons without preparation for perfection but with wings the bow charges twice as fast so almost instant. Mystic AND Greed are probably the best two trees although, as I wrote above, there are circumstances where you need other stuff. On later difficulties... Traps deal TRUE DAMAGE. And it hurts... The only thing that counters traps is TAANA. When Roellynn gives the crystalls block and then gives you bullet hell you are actually supposed to stand near her since the ring does no damage inside but beware, at the end of the attack if you sit an the ring for too long she will stun you and that's a death sentence. bosses and mini bosses in order from difficulty (for me personally) - 1. envyrok - for obvious reasons, i struggle SO much on him unless i have wings, idk what it is or why, i just CANT go into this fight without taking MASSIVE damage. I know i play on difficulty 8, but having wings just makes the fight so much easier not having to be on the ground and worrying about falling into fire. 2. rosellyn (dont know how it's spelled) - the new boss with the update, this is a very cool boss, i like the concept, however the blocking crystals are SO annoying. There are a few attacks where you BARELY see a tell that lets you know she is going to use the attack, there are tells, it's just hard to see if you are focusing on the crystals (for me lmao), on top of that of how MUCH damage the crystal things take on top of the blocking, plus a lot of fairly quick attacks. 3. erika (spelling again) - sonic the hedgehog, supposed to be the final boss and also SUPPOSED to be the hardest boss in the game, but honestly i've had less struggle against it then i have against envyrok. By the time I reach the end of the kamila fight, i already have an idea on how i'm going to do in it, i've gotten used to her first form, the second form is still hard for me (when it uses the spike attack that shoots the giant spikes from the floor and ceiling) i have a hard time dodging it for some reason and i usually have to HOPE that my evasion works or if i'm using something that has block to block it, however the third faze is actually fairly simple and easy, the tough part about it is the dissapearing platforms, but there are 2 items that help avoid the worry of those and that is wings and steel boots. IT sucks having to give up an inventory slot for something as basic as the spike resistance, but if i reach that point in the run anyways, i'm probably doing enough damage with everything else i have that i dont need to worry about it. 4. Slime boss - this guy is just annoying. If built correctly, you wont take a lot of damage, and so long as you avoid the exploding slimes that set you on fire, you will be fine. But there is SO much that is going on on screen in the harder difficulties that finding the perfect space to squeeze around to avoid damage just feels impossible. Sometimes you go through runs where you dont get the best weapons so you dont do that much damage and that can set you back if you can't dps him down quick enough. 5. Lasly - lasly isn't hard, however it depends on what you have. If you aren't doing a lot of damage and can't kill the praying enemies when they spawn quickly, you essentially fight lasly 3 times at almost full HP. Now if you know the patterns and what not it isn't hard, however i am impatient and i want to get the fights done as quick as possible so i always run up on him (my own fault for why it's hard for me lmao) From here on, the bosses aren't "hard" but more "difficult" depending on what you have equipped so they aren't in any particular order. 6. mini boss on first floor- this guy isn't hard unless you have a melee weapon. He doesn't have any attacks that can hit you from the air so wings makes the boss cake, range weapons allow you to be far away from him so when he spawns his familiars for help, they wont spawn already ready to charge and attack you and instead will just try to swing at you so you can avoid getting hit by the ram. 7. belial - easy boss, honestly i normally dont get hit by this boss at all, however if i'm not doing amazing damage, i'll sometimes take a hit or two so that i can do more damage to him to get the fight done quicker. 8. the mini boss in the frozen biome - unless i have a good damaging weapon, this enemy destroys my runs early on. The shield of ice protecting it from damage AND the fact that it does damage when she releases it meaning you HAVE to be away from it to not take damage sucks, and the spikes it spawns that fly away from her, and come back to her are annoying trying to pay attention to EVERYTHING around me ALONG with the spears that surround you. 9. neflhiem - this boss is easy, however it CAN get tricky if you dont do a lot of damage as there will be a lot of instances that will make dodging attacks much harder if her icicles dont get destroyed quickly. 10. mini boss in forrest biome - honestly ranged weapons make this fight go by super slow as he turns around really quickly so hitting him in the back feels damn near impossible, however he is super easy to avoid because all you have to do is run and jump and dash around and keep an eye out fr when he is about to throw his weapons at you, eventually he will be defeated, it just may take some time. 11. tanuk - once you get his patterns down, he is easy. Honestly it's been a long time since i remember taking any damage to this guy, i've only really taken damage from the minions he spawns from the spear throwers and the shielding ones dashing into me when they are off screen and i'm not expecting it. 12. mini boss of slime biome - the jumper is annoying, but he isnt that difficult either. Sometimes he can combine certain attacks that basically guarantee he hits you which can be annoying, but in reality he doesn't hit that hard by the time you get to that biome (I feel), and you just have to do the same thing that you do with the mini boss in the forest biome and just jump around and dash, save some dashes for when it pulls you in, but thats all you have to really think about. 13. Mini boss in laslys biome - honestly i dont think i've EVER struggled with this mini boss even when i first faced it and didn't know how to fight it. It has predictable movement patterns, predictable attacks, the only one that i SOMETIMES get hit by is the slash that lasly uses and thats usually only because i'm busy fighting his other shards and wasn't paying attention, but he usually dies pretty quickly. 14. kamilla - supposed to be the first "final boss" of the game but honestly it isn't all that difficult. The spinning fire can be difficult to dodge in the second stage, but if you are doing a lot of damage to the boss already, you can kinda tank the damage if you need too, the only difficult part of this battle really stems from the background explosions and where they are in comparison to kamilla and her attacks, the limited amount of space you have to be able to dodge without being pulled into a stunning void, hit by a background explosion, or getting hit by kamillas attack can be fairly small, but it's doable. hopefully anyone who sees this will get some kind of help with figuring out what to look out for when it comes to some bosses and hopefully they wont struggle as much.

I'm just gonna repeat this: look at your damage numbers before and after getting the shocking feather. Shock is amazing. I actually send that feather back with me via mystic for hard mode 10 because of the huge DPS increase it provides on any weapon.

the thing that sucks is that i LOVE the idea of an elemental build, but honestly pulling one off successfully, especially at a higher difficulty is damn near impossible. Pandora is definitely the best character to use for an elemental build and starting off with something that causes poison/burn is definitely good, but the elemental build is just SO slow. You deal more damage by just straight up attacking the people and not relying on the elemental damage, unless you get SUPER lucky by getting 2 1 handed weapons that are good to swap back and forth (to get the side item effect of burn/poison) or get 1 1 handed weapon that has a status effect with the other side item, the run will be SLOW. The poison and burn dont do A LOT of damage themselves, i dont think i've ever really tried to use cold effect, and the only consistently GOOD element is shock, but i think that one is good because it doesn't REQUIRE stacks to make it good. :/ I feel like the elemental build is meant for YOU the player to just run around, barely hitting anything and mainly focusing on just making sure that you hit something with each element so that your special elemental character attacks faster. Since it gets boosted by your stats like other familiars, it can tank the hits of things and i feel like it has more "health" then the other familars like bianca (only remember this name because of last episode lmao) and it does good damage when it attacks, so the build overall is supposed to be surrounded by using that familiar and boosting it to do all the attacking for you, and you are just supposed to run around dodging all attacks so you stay alive while the elements and the familiar do all the work.

Have you done the level resets at the altar? If no then that’s 5 skill points your missing

as said by Redranger the level resets with the bless girl. It's what you need to do to get extra points. You can tell if you've done this because the altar near where the girl stands gets lights that glow on the stone to indicate how many level resets you've done (up to 5)

Actually, you lose 2 satiaty from entering a room, and 2 from clearing it if it's a combat room. Most of the time, you'll be losing 4.

it's actually -2 per combat encounter, so if the room is 2 encounter it's -4 for 2 combat and -6 total

@@ignis488 No the first guy is right that's how satiety lost is calculated. Every room discovered is -2 and if is at least one combat in the room you lose an additional 2 satiety. Edit: you could lose more satiety if there are multiple combats in the room like the split left and right room in the desert but i have not pay attention to that for satiety so I'll keep an eye out for that on my next runs

You can, but only if the sources are from 2 different types of anvil. The normal one from the end of a boss can't be used twice but the special Blacksmith boost he specifically gives you a stat can be added. According to steam only 3% of the playerbase has enhanced a single item twice so it seems tough to find what you need.

I tried it. I even brought the rabbit money envelope. The hardest part was choosing who to build and building both dolls and adventure trio was not the smartest of me considering there were only 6 accessory slots and 2 of them are already the envelope and aethera. Got to Envirok and then -50 defence (30 from Pandora and 20 from the envelope) got to me.

The problem is the Blessing item you're given can be something you don't want to use. Or just the fact that if you find an item during your run and want to bring it back for later (as is the case with the wings) you can. And then ALSO get a new bless item. The raw stats and other perks are also very good.
