Niflheim Spear edits easily became my most awaited moment in Dungreed runs. Literally hoping the bossfight would take longer to see atleast one additional spear coming through to appreciate what is at this point a work of art.

A bit of a struggle this time around, but it still went pretty well, all things considered! The companions are good for drawing aggro and dealing passive damage, but I don't think they outweigh the utility of stat-boosting items as well as they might seem at first glance. Like many others, I absolutely adore the spear edits when they come around, and I'll be looking forward to what you do for the next run! your mistake was leaning on the dash damage of the rapier yeah, +100% looks good until you look at its 2-7 damage per hit (which equals its damage per dash) a lot of the more common weapons would do more damage per dash even with their dash damage penalties the rapier completely relies on its high attack speed also you should try the bloodlust skill maxed, it has kinda grown on me by being both offense and defense wrapped in one

Level your dude to 30, do all the stuff for the girl at the center of town (the Bless one, she has an option to give you... I think 5 more?) Then do the hard mode stuff, you get more as you beat the levels.

you really shoulda replaced the rapier if you wanted good dash damage

food heals you, which you always get within a few rooms. so why not always just get the satiety fairy? you will only need to fight like 1-2 rooms if you are unlucky with 50-75% HP. if you are dying to a single normal room from half HP the run is dead anyways. plus theres usually a 10hp fairy outside the boss room. honestly i feel like the healing fairy is a huge waste. if you get satiety each time its an entire meal for free.

Mostly because the food doesn't heal for very much. Which leads to relying on fairies within a level to top you up, meaning you get less leniency with making mistakes. Typically you can grab 1 meal at the start of an area and 1 at the end. So I'm only missing out on 1 food heal anyway which is normally only about 10-15% (slightly better than small fairy). Only exception to this is if the shop isn't selling good meals (60+ satiety requirement) then you can grab 3. But I try not to be over 70 or 80 when entering a boss room.

the reason your build sucked is because your dash damage scales with your weapon's damage, so even tho the rapier had 100% dash damage, because if it's really low flat damage you were doing about a fifth of the damage you would've gotten out of a Berdish or the spear of frenzy you found at 37:15 a bit of a shame.. but yeah this WAS a really good dash build, without a dash weapon.

I usually love your builds but this was not a dash run lmao, like c'mon you can't do a good dash run without a spear but you can without comet, Comet skill is nice and all but greed and mystic are just the way this game should be played no matter your build. So hope to see a good dash run next time. The adventurers even if the are good, they work better if you go with ranged weapons as they agro the enemy, also keep in mind the higher the difficulty the faster they die, and you are missing a lot of stats with them so if you don't get 3 just equip one.
