No it’s too hard to style with clothes and makeup because it clashes. I also prefer fashion colors that do NOT require bleach like purple or fuchsia. It’s fuchsia now and I love it!

In actuality, an Afro consists of thick, tightly coiled curls that stick OUT around the head. Think Pam Grier Foxy Brown or along those lines. This young lady has nice curly hair though.

It's not an afro in the standard sense, especially because she's bleached out all of her curl pattern. There is no more curl pattern actually, she's effectively a 2c right now. It would be interesting to see what it would look like virgin though.

Yeah I was digging the more non-traditional colors. I go back and forth between purple and fuchsia and neither color requires bleach. Red is too common for me since I’m a creative 😊. It’s more challenging to dress and do makeup with red. A lot of colors clash.

@Alastor it's not to create an afro you must have afro hair. Afro hair refers to those with a typical west african type 3c-4c that is curled/coiled enough to allow the strands to defy gravity in a circular shape. She could create an afro with her hair (using small bantu knots). Her hair is definitely not afro by its type and the way its styled.

Well, my hair is more like the girl who got her hair colored, when I wear my hair in its natural state, I call it a wash n go because like her hair, it doesn’t have much volume. The stylist had more of a “curly fro” and it’s gorgeous.

And now that I watch it again, Cherry looks like she had more volume in the past. Maybe it needs a couple of days to set because my wash n go’s normally look better on the 2nd or 3rd day too, but this was supposed to be a “fro” so you shouldn’t have to wait for the volume. So I guess you’re right that it definitely wasn’t a fro...not even a curly one.
