It's ok for the kids to start in kindergarten instead of 1st grade. They'll learn the basics, just like the teacher said. Talk to them in English, so they'll get use to listening to words and phrases in English. Encourage them to answer back, too. Kids are like sponges...they'll absorb English and will be talking a lot sooner, especially, when they have friends at school.

That's true just let the children listen first the English language sooner or later they will use to it and learn the basics. I'm also a volunteer English teacher abroad although I stayed in school for 3 to 5 months, students of zero English level will learn and when I followed up after 2 years you will be amazed of the result you planted. Valentina, don't be anxious or afraid. These Filipino teachers are very helpful; they understand what foreigners go through when enrolling here in the Philippines. In fact, my sister is a Jordanian citizen because she has been in Jordan for 15 years, and her husband is a pure Jordanian. They have a child who is now 17 years old and started enrolling last year in a public school here in our area in South Cotabato province, but they live in Jeddah. What you are feeling is completely normal. I hope your children are doing well in their studies, and may you be blessed by the Almighty. Hehe

It's alright Valentina for your children to start Kindergarten, so that they will learn our Alphabet and basic english. Example, if they're already in grade 2 or 3 whatever, they take exam if thier level of understanding can be promoted to higher grade. For now, it's better to start from low level to know all basics then let them take the test later if they can be promoted. Congratulations to kids, enjoy schooling here🇵🇭🏝️

First thing first they must learn to speak in English and also Bisaya, because it's hard for them to understand the teacher what they say in the class room there is a language barrier between them. Just teach them to read the book and the dictionary that gave to you it will help them a lot to speak in public. and once they know already how to speak in English and Bisaya, you can transfer in Davao school because there is a lot of good school you can choose from public ang private school there in Davao. for me it's more cheaper in Davao school compare to Manila. One problem now in Manila is more flooding compare to Davao. In Davao some lower portion almost get flood but not like Manila almost every part there is a flood. Basic English is really the foundation of it. Learning English in school only and not practicing at home would make a big difference. ❤ Just let those starfish live in the sea, they are meant to be there, but you have to take care of those which are stuck on rocks. ❤

If you enrolled them in private school, the education fees are a bit expensive. Actually it happened with my friend " they are in Davao" My friend who is married with Nepalese Man ...they decided to. be or stay in Phil..the kids , the two boys the same age with.your kids they both back to kindergarten... , but the they are happy though compare when the are in Nepal..I do hope your kids will enjoy their school...
