Oo civil war pa rin sila sa syria kasi yung government nila supporting isis, hezbollah and hamas. Ako papa ko is half palestinian yung lolo ko pure palestinian lumipat sila dito sa pinas galing sa west bank(galeli) noong 1950's dito na sila papa pinanganak at nakapag asawa sabi ng lolo ko ng nabubuhay pa sya mahirap sa middle east lalo na kapag nalaman ng mga muslim na di ka sumusupporta sa ummah.. Or slamic beliefs nila na kailangan ipaglaban mo ang muslim. Kami dito na kami lumaki at nabuhay yung lolo ko ayaw na nya din bumalik sa palestine dito na sya namatay. Same lang din sa syria pero sobrang mahirap sa syria kasi doon wala na talaga silang babalikan sira sira na ang lahat may mga nakatira doon pero mga politician na lang nila at mga syrian na walang kakayahan na umalis ng syria..

it's way way back than world war 2, even before the turn of 19th century catholic japanese, Chinese escaping their from civil war, catholic Indonesians escaping from fanatic muslims in Indonesia are some of the unwritten or less known refugee that makes their way to the Philippines.
