The red heat are great papers all I use best way is to clean your alloy discs with brake cleaner then let it dry in the sun. Paint them with a undercoat spray can evenly. when you finish grinding if they are stuffed pull them off with a little bit of heat still in the discs. They come off mint every time. Some people get them stuck and it’s like confetti getting them off. Haven’t seen Simon for years used to be our heiniger rep here in aus poking about the shows. Great to see him out and about he’s looking well. Great to see shearing at the shows and reps about and heiniger gear being used and a sponsor. Carnt wait to get back to shearing and pumping hard again after my injury and long rehab. Keep up the great work and videos

Well done and congratulations on winning the Seniors Cammy (does that mean you're dead old ('SENIORS')?) 🤣(It's okay son, you're not as old as me anyway) Lesmahagow is a difficult name to pronounce, but the locals call it a few different names: Lesmahagi, The Gow and one or two call it Lizzie The Gow. Fun fact about lesmahagow; It is next to the A74 (now the M74) and not long after the dual carriageway was opened they had to re-route it. The story goes that there were quite a few accidents on the part that went right past the village and some say that it was because the road was built through an old cemetery. An old wives' tale maybe, but after it was re-routed, there were hardly any accidents on that particular stretch of road. 👻😲 Congratulations to big Jock as well 🏆

Congratulations! Shearing is my favorite day of the year so it’s great to see more often. I have a small flock in the US. We have trouble getting shearers for small farm flocks here. Maybe if there were some competitions like this more people would start shearing.

Fun watching the competition, not something I could do tho, oh the anxiety! You did a great job! As a spinner, I get excited seeing the fleeces 😂😂. Starting tomorrow I’m spinning everyday with the “Tour de Fleece” (a take off on the Tour de France race) ;). I have been trying to trace my Scottish roots on my mom’s dad’s side, seems that line shares the same last name as your family, tho I’m still stuck in the US in NC with the line, so not sure where in Scotland my Scottish line came to the US from, but I’m working on it.

That was so fun to watch. Its a strange thing but I felt like I was watching family with you and Lizzie both competing I found it interesting to see the color ribbons for each placing. Having shown horses for years, Im used to Blue Ribbons being first place, Red for second and yellow for third. I wonder what colors are for international shows. Or maybe its a sheep-horse thing? Regardless, congratulations and thanks for taking us along with you.

In the UK horse competitions also follow the red for 1st, blue for 2nd, yellow for 3rd and green for 4th. It was all about the red frilly in my days of competition, still is lol! It always seemed to me that blue for 1st was a north American thing, I would love to know what colours other countries follow!
