This was such an awesome video. Congratz to the women's double tourney champions. This also made me think of the countless comments in pickleball videos saying "Anyone with a tennis background..." This quick learning seems to be related to athlecism but more importantly competitive strategic thinking. While most people's dinks placement is unintentional for a while after learning pickleball, you could see how well they were placing every dink, drive, and overhead. The height of every shot also seemed well calculated preventing attackable bounces or off the air. Amazing to watch how easily it was for them to transfer their other sports skills strategic abilities into pickleball and the growth in just 1 tournament.

It was nice to see a range of different players the girls had to play in the tournament. I haven't played a tourney as the ratings make it sound like I wouldn't be able to do well. But, seeing the different levels of 3.5 players gave me a thought that there could be a chance of trying. Now to upgrade the paddle out of the starting out player and do more. Our small group is getting better together. Thanks for this video. Informative, while being entertaining. We do have some tennis players in our group and it is fun to watch them learn with their long backhand and forehand hits. Lots of misses when the ball doesn't bounce as high as a tennis ball. 😆
