Me and a friend are both competitive players of a game I won't name. We've actually learned that taking a hiatus can actually improve decision making and play so long as proper derusting is done beforehand. We've dubbed this "Break Strats" and even though most people are afraid to do it oftentimes we find ourselves breaking huge barriers after we reach our skill relative to before we left. Always remember it's okay to take breaks and that sometimes it can even benefit you a lot, that I know for a fact applies to every competitive game from Chess to Pokémon.

It’s also much more impressive than you think; he has something called aphantasia, which means he *has* no mental image. When you imagine something, you “see” it in your mind’s eye - he straight-up doesn’t. It also means he can’t self-reference when drawing, if you draw something you make a mental image and copy from how that looks. Of course, it doesn’t affect his cognitive skills, clearly, but it very much affects his ability to draw. Those Incineroars were a marked improvement for him (and also explains why the Flutter Manes looked a bit more like rabbits than ghosts)

This video is fantastic, so well written, the storyline of you using the top mons to take every advantage after using experimental mons for so long is great Raising the bar of pokemon content, nothing unfriendly to the family necessary to do it, Wolfey is 100% my goat and I loved this video For many years wolfeys been my favorite player and an inspiration in the way I play many games, as VGC was my first competitive game. Glad he's killing it content-wise too, thanks Wolfey 💯

I was straight up sobbing at the end. Not ~shed a cute tear~...I was crying. I relate hard to the feeling of burnout* and it was so heartwarming to hear about a moment of clarity where the excitement returns and you go all in and it all pays off in the end and everything is right. I know it's super random, but thanks for giving me this overwhelming feeling of "some things just turn out alright" *(I'm an emergency medicine resident witnessing human suffering and trying to help people struggling within a difficult to navigate (at best) healthcare system and I'm just coming off an overnight shift so this is coming out of a somewhat delirious haze)

Really enjoyed how you laid out your thought process with the arrows and the (silly yet accurate) Pokémon drawings. Helped a ton to explain how necessary it is to not just think about the Pokémon on the field, but to think about the Pokémon that could be on the field next turn or the turn after. Appreciate the high level analysis and congrats on the W king!

This was a ridiculously good showing. Genuinely world class. It goes to show that a control heavy team that can play with hard reads is the best for you, compared to hyper offense or defense teams. The amount of outplays with armor tail, grassy terrain, trick room and parting shots was off the charts. Also good to see you tackled one of your main weaknesses, not being able to use Urshifu.

That 77 and 78 speed is such a great example of super high level team building and the impact it could have on a tournament run shows me i still have a long way to go building my teams. For a goodstuffs balance team there is an iceberg of depth beneath the surface as to why decisions were made. Wow.

@IschmarVI9 ай бұрын
@@DuelingDexpertsit's because at level 50, if you invest into an even number of stats, you will always end up with 4 points remaining. Normally you could put them into another stat (as the first 4 points are enough to get a stat up) but in this case, there was no stat left that he could invest in (speed was out of the question). So the points were simply a leftover.

Just started the vid, excited for this *movie* of a vid. Been playing VGC for such a long time and I'm really happy to see what Wolfey has accomplished with content creation. Kinda wild to come from a time when people only watched TV and all content was made by studios. KZbin and streaming didn't exist, my family was excited to get a computer in our house. Now I never watch TV, and individuals online create high quality feature length videos about my interests and hobbies that I can watch on KZbin. Really crazy
