Maybe think about what your past workouts were vs now? Consistently strength training will show results faster then mostly cardio does ie the treadmill and walks. Keep going maybe switch it up

I feel the same about going outside lol I forget how much I like it until I actually go outside! and it is so nice that Jezzel is so encouraging, it's really helpful to have a supportive partner who wants to help you achieve your goals!

Sounds like you need more than just exercise or no alcohol. Maybe look into heavy metal detoxes, checking your minerals, and for antibodies to Epstein Barre or Chlamydophila pneumonie (not std). Any of these things can cause mysterious anxiety, in my experience

I'm so proud of you for being transparent and sharing your process!! FWIW exercise hasn't really clicked for me until I got on the right antidepressants. Also, am obviously not a doctor/etc BUT maybe look into PMDD and see if it resonates at all? Or PCOS? I'm just spitballing things I've researched into for myself in around the same age as you, in that sometimes symptoms pop up as we age, etc.

I've been struggling with such intense anxiety lately, too, and this is so relatable. It's really hard to motivate myself at all (not just workouts)
@MorganYatesVids
@MorganYatesVids Жыл бұрын
I feel that :( Honestly feeling motivated is still rare for me, but I just count down from 5 and get up and do things now vs waiting to be in the mood because it just never happens. It's helped me build discipline and now I feel like I'm doing more/have my life more together even though I still don't feel motivated... but at least I don't feel as discouraged from not doing the things I want to do

You are doing awesome!!!! So hard to admit you’re struggling and even harder to do something about it. Also loveeeee the support you have with Jezzel I literally felt my heart melt when you said she turned on the tv and treadmill for you! Little things like that can honestly make such a big difference

I feel really similarly right now. Everything is so hard and I’m so weighed down by depression and anxiety. I started going back to the gym around the same time and also felt discouraged when it wasn’t “fixing” me. I’ve decided that I’ve done a lot of external work and found balance, so it’s time for me to see a doctor. Thank you for sharing your journey and thank you for being honest. It makes everything that I’m going through feel more relatable and somehow it makes it feel manageable when I see others having similar experiences.

i was taking prozac for years as it did help me, but honestly it made my anxiety worse. everything seemed like such a big task and i would give up so easily. i have found exercise and staying busy have been the most helpful since being off it

Congratulations Morgan! I know you said you didn't feel a lot of improvements on your anxiety, specially when starting meds, they take a while to kick in and you feel getting worse before improving, but be sure that you having the ability to take care of yourself (and having support from Jezzel) will be of great value for your mental health. I've been dealing with depression and anxiety for over 10 years now and just now I'm gattering the energy to try and workout consistently. You already have that in you, take advantage of that!

I needed this! I feel the same way, my mental health is getting the better of me and after having a baby my fitness is non-existent. I used to be so strong and fit and now I’m not. I think I might try this challenge in March. Even if it doesn’t fix all of my anxiety, maybe it’ll spark me to start working out again and feeling better about my body. Thank you!

Thank you for sharing! Anxiety can be extremely exhausting and I don’t think people realize how hard it is to do day to day activities. Year 21’- now were incredibly hard (and some days still are) for me but it does get better! We learn triggers, we learn coping strategies, we give ourselves grace, and we keep going
