I Explore These Forgotten Classic Cars With The Famous Jonny Smith AKA Car Pervert!

Filmed back in Early June 2020 myself and Mr Jonny Smith AKA Car Pervert who many of you will recognise from the famous TV show 5Th GEAR! We returned to a collection a classic car’s which had been abandoned at the back of a yard. Since we filmed this the site has been cleared and there is absolutely no way in anymore, so unless you want to find out the hard way please take our advice as it’s definitely a no go now.. one of the main reasons we wanted to go back was to see what other Classic gems were hiding away here, but we had an incredible surprise waiting for us once we uploaded some photos... one of our followers saw the Reg from the Jenson Intersepter and sent us x3 pics of the very same car back in it’s glory days... sad to think where it has ended up now.. maybe one day it can be saved?? Enjoyed watching once again, hurts my heart to see so many surviving classics like these just sitting there deteriorating. Wish they could be saved but it is what it is. I had a Renault R5 like the silver one you found as my first car - can’t remember the last time I saw one. Happy memories! That one was a TC 950cc 4 speed special edition Rio with the upgraded seats and trim from the GTL. No passenger mirror or centre air vents... Thanks for another great video.

That’s a real shame about that triumph herald, my grandad collects classic triumphs and a herald 13/60 just like that one was the first car I worked on! Hopefully getting one soon to restore with him and have as my first car

Judging by seeing a very rusty Jensen parked in front of house in Church Street Edmonton N18 in 1975, that 1969 one is possibly too far gone. I think the old blue car is an Armstrong Siddley Star Sapphire from 1960, a very rare car!

@9.24, it's a MK2 Mini built for only two years 1967-1969, with the remote gearchange it would be a 998cc engine too, the 848cc still retained the 'magic wand' gearstick

The blue car is a armstrong sidley saphire . One model had a single headlight another model came with twin headlights. late 50s. When the anglias were getting old in the early 80s they used to rust out around the front struts mounts causing the strut to hit the inside of the bonnet. Here in New Zealand we had all the british cars except the granadas . everything that BMC, Ford UK, came out here.

@30.15 A30 or A35 Van with added rear side windows, now @31.12 it's an A35 Van (AV5 Series 1956-61) we still got our 1957 one, @31.23 it's circa 1960/61 as the wiper motor is on the inner wing instead of the main bulkhead

poor Jensen has been off the road since 1986 ! IMO one of the most beautiful cars ever made. you can keep your modern Lambos and Ferraris if i won big on the euro it my collection wold be mostly old British cars Old Astons , Jaguars , Lotus , Alvis , Bentley , Rolls Royce, Rover etc oh and a Pantera and Miura lol

The blue unidentified car looks like a Lanchester LD 10, my dad had one back in the late 1950s. They were part of the Daimler Motor Co. They were mainly smaller engined, had the pre selector gearboxes found in Daimler cars, and the same high quality build.

sorry 'bout my several individual comments, but I keep recalling incidents from this video worthy of comment. The vehicle with the flower growing thru the dash panel might have been the inspiration for VW to include a small vase and plastic flower on their Beetle model away back, maybe 10 or 20 years, their interior designer might also have visited this junkyard

Grandson of the deceased founder here. After Jonny first trespassed (neither have ever asked or attempted to make contact with on-site owners,site has 3 homes on it) he went from 0% to 70% chance of being that man to help clear this site with multiple episodes for you all to watch. Trust me, it took a lot to get there and give Jonny that opportunity. I am always in 2 minds when watching videos like this, obviously I do find them fascinating but history shows that uploading these to the internet has led to bad consequences with properties ending up vandalised and even rare cars being stolen and sold or also vandalised which is a shame when they have sat undisturbed for so long.
