for the record i think the stuttering issue can be fixed by allocating more RAM to the JVM for zomboid to utilize. I believe this is due to the utilization of lua in the JVM causing lots of GCs to happen more frequently w/ the 4gb heap that indie stone gives the game by default I gave zomboid 8-10gb of ram and its basically gone w/ like 200+ mods on a m1 macbook pro. There are a few other JVM flags you can add to improve performance like using huge/large pages and pre-allocating B42 seems to improve the latency a lot w/o doing this but i'll still be allocating more RAM
