Eric, you were in my dream last night, you were facing the Diablos as a single hitter for an event, and if you hit a home run, you’d get a large pizza, and all the Juco Bandits would get a piece of merch. You were faced their new pitcher, Mr. Bauer himself. Anyway you stepped up to the plate, and got hit with a first pitch slider (pissed you off) but it was strike 1, then a great take, then an inside low ball you should’ve knocked out of the park, but missed. The last pitch slider you somehow missed, even though we all saw it coming. In the end, you were mad you didn’t get the pizza, the audience was all disappointed because no one got any merch, and Trevor stood on the mound cackling away, like the real Diablo.

Nolan Ryan threw 85 mph at 63 years old as a guest pitch. Back then they clocked it at the plate....ie....his average fast ball was around 101-102 and his best was at 108 during that video if correcting for how it's measured today. It makes a HUGE difference when clocking halfway, or from hand, or at plate.
