So I've met people who may have been in a similar situation to you. My guess is that you're not being patient enough with others. Firstly, if the friends tell you it's a joke, 99% of the time it is indeed just a joke and how they express themselves. It may be hard to tell the difference, but the correct response is the same whether it's malicious or not; you should keep your pride at a distance and not respond angrily to it. If you're constantly getting offended by people, then it's you who needs to make the adjustment full stop.

There are plenty of resources online to find local groups which share your interests and meet like once a week. A few years ago during Covid I found a local choir to sing in when I was super bored. There weren't a lot of people my age there but I made a couple of acquaintances. Sometimes all you need is 1 or 2 people to talk to to feel like you belong. Something to consider
