When I heard Heilung for the first time I could not believe it. I watched the whole concert in the middle of the night. I got chills and also cried, it was a mix of emotions. It felt like coming home or finding your roots. I can't explain it very well.

Krigsgaldr live, was the first song I EVER heard from Heilung, and it led me down the rabbit hole of their music, and reconnecting with the "old gods". Heilung's music is as their name means "healing". There is something about their music that connects to a very deep part of the human consciousness. It almost awakens a part of people's consciousness that has gone mostly dormant, if that makes any sense. Their music has helped me, and I'm sure many others. If you ever get the opportunity to, go see them live.

The singer you were feeling drawn to is I believe the 'shaman' of the group. There's definitely more to him than just being a musician and I'm going from an interview with Maria Franz. This song stirs a lot in me to do with survival, protecting your home, community and the people you love. It's such a human theme, just wanting to live in peace, without having to fight the invader or whatever forces come against us. Thanks again

The whole Lifa show is beyond anything especially when you find out this is the first time they all came together to perform this ritual. Highly recommend the dvd. I bought the cd and dvd pk. Oh and yes those are human arm bones. Maria has a real paor and a replica for travel reasons....let say they had some...trouble before. And the paint used on the shields are mixed with the blood of the members. And human ashes are used in some rattles. Sometimes the great mother and spirit finds us sometimes we find them but its always when the time is right. This is a time when you need their strength, life will guide you from here just listen within.

I am so pleased to see you go back and watch the live version, visually it is far more watchable and you really tap into the meaning of the song. This is the spirituality of people who were in reality very peaceful spiritually. This song is a healing song though it challenges those who seek power by violence. Much of what Much of what Heilung record is closer to stream of conciousness chanting over drum beats, it is both truly beautiful and healing to the soul. Big Love Brother

There was a woman next to me, she fell over at a certain point of the show (i guess she was in trance) and i was even jelouse cause i could not get this point. So don't feel bad for not watching the video, just enjoy everything. Even when you go to their concert, just enjoy everything and close your eyes. Thanks again for a wonderful reaction. I'm pretty drunk off my ass (rare thing for me), and I've been binging on Heilung all day. I think I've had Anoana on repeat. I often like to ask friends and family silly 'if or that' scenario questions (obviously not silly to either), but a favorite to ask is: If you had to choose now for the rest of your life, would you rather be deaf or blind? They kind of stammer at me when I say I'd rather be blind. I cannot imagine my life without music that is ever changing and evolving. But nearing the age of 40, I feel I've seen all there is to see from what I can, and I'd rather have music in my life than seeing the ugly side of life. I'd remember the positive and carry that with me.

If this touches you on a soul level - think about that. There’s a reason. It’s this: we’re not human beings with a soul, we’re immortal souls having a human experience. And it is also Seid/magical rituals that predates viking times, but also from viking times like in Anoana and Norupo when you see them moving hands and the bones in patterns. And the bones Maria are playing are human bones which are a lot of paperwork everytime they travel😆. And if you have s chance to go to an concert you must, they are mind altering live.
