Why? I paid for a year or three, got a semi decent account then stopped paying about 4 years ago. Haven't given WG a cent since. A lot of people still have fun without whinging and rage quitting. I chose to stop paying but keep playing, and its more enjoyable than ever.

you didn't miss anything especially that now ru server has merged with me server..............I don't even want to go into the details of how it is with the Russian player on my server... but to get the idea many players on my server have left the game and in a few months if it goes in this direction there will only be streamers and Russians on the server...

The issue with WOT is they've made some very bad decisions over the years and haven't corrected many of them. Don't need to list them all, you seem to already know them. It's just that merging servers isn't one of them. All the other reasons you have with the game still are.

You are right Claus, WG is in a pickle. They rig games to sell those new OP tanks, thus annoying the rest of its player base. A better solution would be to stop doing so, to sell less of these OP monstruousities, and make the game healthier in exchange. May be the player base would spend more money if it feels less cheated. The lack of clear rules is the reason why I stopped paying for stuff years ago.

This is the truth. NA players are fed up with the stupid this game is known for. Players control the games, and we expect our expectation to be met, or we move on to the next game. WG seems to think they control the game. But without players, WG controls nothing but a ghost town, like thousands of other failed games. How many online games have no population? How many of those games are done, because the Devs thought, they know better? Try all of them. You would think WG would understand this. They made plenty of failed games, already. As a player, I can care less if WG stays or goes. I just want a game that is fair and balanced, period. OP tanks like the BZ-176 vs any tier 6 tank is BS, and yet we still have +2/-2 Match making. This might be all for WG in the NA. We just don't handle stupid well. I can't speak for the EU, as I started an account there and I am ALL purple. On NA I am barely green. This says a lot about who has skill in this game and who don't.... EU don't. Or I wouldn't be a unicum on the EU. I seen guys like QB play on NA, I think his Win rate was 13%. And he cried like a baby the entire time.

I worked for 20+ years in IT and longer than that as a hobby and what is happening is that the game engine is just ancient code on the wrong type of engine. The polling speed combined with the servers running on too few resources means that it gets overloaded. Combine this with dropped packets due to them being cheap and renting out space based on cost rather than speed, and you get this result. Ghost shots, you not detecting tanks when they can detect you, shots that go outside of the circle, and more. But that means a massive re-write of this almost 15 year old game, better servers, and each "game" is its own server that you join. Versus everyone jumping into one that quickly gets swamped. Basically the model Counterstrike, Sony, EA games, etc etc etc took. You find a server that you log into and play there, among hundreds to choose from. The current tech and model of one large server for everyone works well for MMOs, but not for a FPS game. But... never going to happen. WG won't spend 3-4 years rebuilding it from the ground up at this point. Find a better game than this old piece of soon to be abandonware.

@@plektosgaming A part is also programing errors were made and some never addressed when they were created. Bet I could go to the same places on some maps today and deal with those same issues, just haven't in awhile. Another common with older titles. Builds over time to more errors in the programing. Just surprised no one has built off what they had created in the first place by now. It's obvious the payer base is there. Even those who quit years ago still tune in and watch the games being played all these years later. Gold mine, maybe not. But would be a solid idea at this time. After all, most FPS started with the same underlay. This game was a blast when it came to be. All the others similar I've played have done so their own way, and the base game play hasn't been as fun to play as this game was. Still one of my favorite games I've ever played. I just don't play it as much anymore due to that age.

The bottom of the 907's V-shaped hull has multiple layers of "spaced armor" which in addition to messing with HEAT are not valid hitboxes themselves. It also makes the LFP smaller from the front. It really is stupid troll armor.

I left that game 3 years ago, the game was going for the worst for long time already. The introduction of big repair / med packs was literally deal braking for me. Playing uptier, immobilizing the enemy was always vital tactic. EDIT: I forgot to mention that they turned of friendly fire, it was always a lot of fun to going full speed between enemy tanks while they were "puffing" randomly from cross fire - I loved it. They are taking mechanics out of game, making it more just armor-vs-pen & dps-vs-hp race, with dumb & broken premiums.

the obj 907 was a reward tank in clan wars back in the days when i was still playing this game. It was Wargames way to reward the best and fast players with a even better and nearly indestructable tool, so they can make the game for the "regular scholl" in this game even more terrible. And yes this game is balanced. Balanced toward all the russian crap tanks in this game. In real life those tanks explode like Bugs in a hot pan. But here they are indestructable.

One small drone with a RPG shell tied on with duct tape and it's a flaming crater. Russian propaganda and great on paper tanks that were built by a completely unmotivated workforce that cut every corner they could. In reality, the 40mm roof armor is made out of probably something closer to pot metal or plain untreated steel, and nobody can tell when it's painted. ERA armor that is actually just the spacers inside - no explosives. Body armor that has wood inside instead of steel plates. Stuff like that. As a result, their entire range of tanks and weapons are basically large minivans versus even 80s era weapons. But in this game? Fear the mighty Russian tanks of doom! lol.

Claus, the manipulation that has crept into the game is beyond disgusting. I am with you. I have had games where it was 200% E-Z kill and....NO FUN FOR YOU. How many times I shoot, miss or no pen, bounce. I then get shot back and lose driver, tracks AND engine. I become sitting duck points pinata. WG "allows" you to get so much. If the game is going your way, under the bus you go, especially losing RNG. I have completely stopped playing 8-9-10, for obvious reasons. As you put it,, stay at the 4-5-6-7, and have fun.

My favorite "this game is trolling me" moment was when I was in my Roomba, stopped, aimed exactly at the side of a SPG flat-on and I get the "armor not penetrated" message as if the thing has a spall liner. The shot simply rolled a 0 and the engine said - insert flavor text here. No idea HOW I bounced/missed/whatever against a SPG at 50m, right into its side, but... Most days now EU1 has barely 5K people on it, half of which seem to be people idling for clan stuff. NA is just as bad.

He should not have aimed at the side of the 907 because it has notoriously troll side armor. Aim it right through front upper plate, its an easy pen. Load the 907 up in tanksgg vs the 60TP and look for yourself, put it at the same 45 degree downhill angle. The ramming damage is also not suspect because most people running 907s have an HP/ramming build with the field mod for it and the driver skill, whereas most players in 60TPs don't have that because it's not a fast heavy tank.

This bull§hit is the reason i don't play WoT anymore. There is so much frustrating crap in this game, i just couldn't have fun anymore. I honestly regret every single euro that i spent in this shitty game, WG has killed it years ago, and now they are just milking the players, which are too addicted and too invested into the game to leave it and admit that the game has gone to shit. Gamble lootboxes are also one of the main things that made me leave the game. Apparently it's more important for WG to create new lootbox (slot machine) every month, than make some balancing updates, fix maps, etc...

Hey Claus - I'm so glad the forums have been shut down, as all they accomplished was perpetuating the propaganda and delusion that this game was random and unbiased at its heart. So here's a thought: all NA players should shove any and all non-Russian tanks into the deepest depths of their garages and only grind and play Russian tanks. bz-75 has epic troll armor. The other way that the game vindictively trolls you is in the MM. I just rolled out in my old skool Covenanter with a (in todays terms) poor crew and had a good game (1st class, top on xp, 5 kills, I carried), and the reward for having the temerity to play a cheep, tech-tree tank that I haven't spent money on - bottom tier in the next two games vs top tier lights (with one a wheelie). It was a classic WG 'fcuk you, buy a premium' response to someone just enjoying the game...

so WoT pc is no different to the console version, the same game mechanic exists in which if you won one game and everything you shot hit and did damage then the next game you can guarantee that shots will bounce off of engine bays or land outside of the reticule altogether, the premium tanks/reward tanks are actually made weaker on console so a lot of them are worse than the same tier tech tree counterparts excluding the obj 477A on cold war which has no front/side or turret weakspots in fact the turret being unmanned has no areas that can take damage in anyway

The side shot said Critical damage, which is the most broken mechanic in the game, because they do not cause damage to the targets hit points, I'm starting to think because of this broken mechanic that it is a bad idea to use the Crit perk on your gunner.

The 60tp hits the tracks with heat (this is why battle hits should be in the game). Deadeye only helps (as far as i know) to damage modules when PENETRATED.

Local client does the recording, but the server is its own thing. If you install that mod that shows your true aiming size and set it to server reticle, then it would probably show that his actual aim circle was huge at that moment.

There is so much wrong shit going on with WOT I can’t even begin to explain. The physics are SO screwed up that make play almost unbearable. Our clan just try’s to squeak out Tour of Duty points, and the Vodka Drink Whore (MM) just shoves Borsht in ass like an enema…yet we keep playing the same game. I have resisted by playing with an overlay of my own tactic. I know the people will go, so I have been following the map movements as close, as I can, to determine where the enemy is headed. Gotta have fun with it somehow?! 🤷‍♂️
