Im really happy with mine, it was a little tricky figuring out the wah pedal function, and pedal set up. The only thing i don't like about it is that the two foot switches need to be about 3 inches spaced farther apart over all 4 out of 5 stars! Cant wait to see what they'll come out with next!

Nux MG-100 or the new ZOOM G1X FOUR? Which is the easiest to navigate and setup? Which one sounds the best? The tones I'm wanting to get are AC/DC, Aerosmith,Sabbath, Zeppelin, AIC and Soundgarden if they can also do some Hendrix, SRV and Gilmour that would be even better. I know that's asking a lot from a $100 buck pedal but if they can get somewhat close then that's fine. Would also like to be able to run it without a amp and into my interface using studio monitors, that wouldn't be a deal breaker just a bonus.
@jimmyrocks435 жыл бұрын
Haven't try the G1X floor yet, so I can't really common about that. Seems like all the sounds you're looking for are British style amp(most), so I can say that NUX MG100 got a very cool Marshall amp sim. Also the green back cab sim is awesome for direct recording. But one thing I pretty sure about is that the delay and reverb effects are much better in the ZOOM products. Hope that answers your question.

Of course it will depend on your headphone. If your headphone doesn't color the tone, it will pretty much sound like this.

My pedal works only as volume switch. Didnt notice any voice changes by switching it on and off. Please guide briefly. I want the effect sustain for 10 to 15 seconds.
@AdamBlackArts5 жыл бұрын
If you tap it fully forward the Pedal light will light up and it'll work as a wah pedal. Be careful when you wah, though, because tapping it fully forward again will turn it back into a volume switch.

Hey! Quick question. I noticed when you turned the "tight switch" off, it sounded muddy, but when you turned it on it sounded much better. How did you do it? What setting is the "tight switch" called in the Nux MG 100? Are you just raising the volume using the pedal? You also said "Make sure mixer is on when using direct situation", what is direct situation? You mean when it's going direct line in to something? Thanks! :)
@jimmyrocks433 жыл бұрын
"tight switch" is simply the Wah pedal. Just turn it on, and you'll get a tighter tone!
@NealJett3 жыл бұрын
@@jimmyrocks43 Oh thanks so much!! Does this apply to all wah pedals? or just the one in the MG 100? Does the pedal need to be perfectly flat to get the best tone when I turn it on? or at a slight angle? Also, once its on, it sounds almost EQ'd a bit, like more "stand out in front of the mix", like it's acting as a presence booster when the Wah Pedal is on, why is that? Thanks again! :)
@jimmyrocks433 жыл бұрын
@@NealJett I don't think this will work on every Wah pedals, but in this case, it does work perfectly! Just turn on the Wah at the top position, and it will do the job.

Which one? Digitech Element XP or this nux??
@jimmyrocks435 жыл бұрын
It's not a fair comparison because of the price difference. You want a better performance one, and you don't care about the price difference. Go for the DigiTech. If you are on a budget, This NUX is great.

@antonioj47465 жыл бұрын
I disagree with Jimmyrocks. I've had the Digitech rp90, that has the same technology as Digitech Element, for a few years, and it always sounded harsh, cold and very artificial to my ears (specially ODs and distortion; cleans are good. Digitech Element sounds pretty the same in the demos I've listened). One year ago I bought a Nux PG2, which is a small pocket multieffects, just to try... the sound is quite better than Digitech's, surprisingly good IMHO. The amp simulations are quite more realistic, the sound is sweeter and not ice-piercing, as the Digitech's is. The effects - modulation, reverb, delay... - on the contrary, are better in the Digitech (listening the demos I assume they have improve all these effects in the MG100, since PG2 is a very limitated unit in this aspect and the MG's demos sound quite better). I mean, the base sound is far superior in the PG2, quite more accurate and realistic, and it has the same technology as MG100, so I'm thinking in buying the MG100 because of the superior specs (amps, cabinets, effects, drum box, looper...).

I was skeptic as well, but I bought one and its up to par with ZOOM and DigiTech. Great digital display w old school knobs to adjust every amp, cab, and FX. The others do not offer that. You have to scroll up or down pushing a button to get to where you want to be. NU-X is simple and sounds great. Tube tones in digital format is hard to tell it is NOT a tube amp. Also has a Mix function for direct out to amp, console or recorder. I was very impressed.
