I’ve been trying to spend at least an hour a day making music for around a year, and it’s been really insightful. But I think the most important lesson I’ve learnt has nothing to do with music, but with accepting my flawed nature and embracing failure as an intrinsic part of life.

I like that when you weren’t feeling like producing, you still did something for your production- organizing samples! I never take the time to do that, so I’ll have to one day when I’m feeling burned out! 🧡

Hey Rachel, love your energy and music. I followed along with Mary when she did her daily videos in January where she challenged us to practice guitar 15 minutes a day and the consistency paid dividends. Had the same ups and downs you had when it came to motivation and have since fallen off. You've got me pumped back up to get back on the wagon. Going to keep guitar in the mix, but picked up your Ableton course this morning and I plan to give daily music making a go in November. Thanks for the inspiration!

Thank you so much! I hope you enjoy the course - there's definitely plenty to practice in there through November! 💜💜💜

Love you Rachel. You've been an inspiration for me for many years now, and since i saw your live performances for the first time, i've been dreaming about becoming a full time producer and performer myself. Also thank you so much for giving courage and power to so many female music producers, (to all of u - i know it's hard sometimes, but we all know deep down how good we are) Keep up the great work

Thank you Rachel for reminding us that the creative process isn't always what it looks like in a 10 minute video. It is pushing yourself to it every time but worth it so much when inspiration kicks in and you get an awesome groove going.

Once we had a community here in my country, and we used to have such "contests" where we limited ourselves heavily in terms of track length, deadlines, samples to use, plugins to use etc. The best tracks were born during these contests. Creativity is much more important than any technical stuffs. If music is the child, then creativity is the mother and technical stuff is the obstetrist. :) I enjoy your videos, never overwhelming, just right, and filled with love and fun. ♥
