People undervalue their time. It's the most precious thing in our lives. I'll gladly buy once and cry once again to save the few hours a week I typically have to run a wet swiffer pad to keep up with my dogs. Worth every penny. Blows shark out of the water. Had both and roborock is just hands down better in every category

I suspect the next big thing will be robotic lawn mowers. There are a couple out there but the cost is very prohibitive. Once the tech matures and is fine tuned we will see them everywhere.

I love these little things but they definitely need major improvements! Mostly, focusing on one square area instead of large sweeps across the floor would be great. Remembering where they’ve mopped/vacuumed and not going over the same area, too - which the first improvement would help with. And speed! Definitely needs to be quicker than it is. And more independence. I don’t want to refill them as often, but I can’t think of a way to remedy this issue lol im sure someone can tho. A few others, but overall they’re helpful AF and worth the money. I’m eager to see how well they hold up over time. I know these are new tech so these minor issues are to be expected. I’m excited for the new ones that will undoubtedly be better and likely within the next year or so. Maybe even sooner than that! Shit moves quickly nowadays lol The solution I found for my current problems - I bought one for each room lol instead of waiting for one to do the whole house, one does each room and I’m very happy with the results. Costly AF but saves me hours of sweeping, vacuuming and mopping and that’s WELL WORTH IT. Time _is_ money for me.

@@j0c1988I actually didn’t find that except for a mention of not doing it where you place your toothbrush. I did, though, find a warning not to do it in toilet in case an item gets caught in there. A woman shared that a comb got caught on the mop head and clogged her toilet. She had other mystery clogs on cleaning days too, so now her household pours in backyard only. This also lead me to a note not to pour into storm drains. I’m learning today! Lol

@@mel2000 It depends on the machine. I have an iRobot Roomba i7+ and it works mostly flawlessly, I do wish I had gotten one with an obstacle avoidance system though. My dog decided to poop in my bedroom while it was running, but other than that It's been almost two years and I haven't had to come to the rescue at all. I'm looking into selling that one to upgrade to one with an obstacle avoidance system so that doesn't happen again. It has saved me a lot of time, I don't think I could go back to a normal vacuum.

I noticed the new Robo rock has dust bags that you have to change out… Which means you ultimately have to re-purchase some shit! I can’t stand that they did that! It’s damn near $2000! Get the nighthawk router it automatically picks the right Wi-Fi signal for your devices. I have some 5g and 2g devices and it will select the right bandwidth for you

I bought the Deebot T20 from EcoVac. I had a masive amount of trouble from the software and decided to return it. One of the things I did notice with the "self-cleaning mop pad is that it wasn't actually doing a good job. After about 4 days, I checked the docking station and found there was low standing water and floor sediment. It actually smelled in the station. So then I popped up a pad and smelled it and noticed it smelled pretty bad as well. Even though my station "washes and dries the pads" this still happened. I'm not above cleaning the station and changing my pads a few times a week, but I was surprised to see how nasty it got within 1 week. Now I am looking at upgrading to the S8 top model and wanted to know if you have any similar issues. With your S7. The deebot app is horrific causing constant software problems and the robot would lose its mind constantly and begin plowing into walls when the software acted up.

I am about to buy my 4th robot vac. That is a problem, because I have only been using the things for around 4 years. Once was the initial sale and the next two were me thinking that Roomba was going top put out a better product with it's subsequent new "top tier" offerings. They tend to last as long as the one year warranty before they require some expensive repair that makes buying a new one the smarter move. So this time I am going with roborock. The purchase will be made when I get paid next week. Here is hoping I do not hate them a year from now as much as I hate iRobot (roomba) now.
