I FINALLY DID IT! AFK ACHIEVEMENT! - Hearthstone Battlegrounds

Hey guys, it’s me again, Saltyrino. Over the summer, I had plenty of time to watch Kripp videos, but, I am a student, so with online school and my job, I had trouble fitting it in. Now, I’m back and I’m going to try to keep up with my REAL job, being a Kripperino. Okay, let’s look at some of those salty moments. Make sure to remind me if I missed any because I was doing an assignment while I watched this. 2:21: Kripp took the loss, but he had some passive aggressive salt to go along with it. 3:03: Kripp got a bit salty about a chat that had to do with achievements 4:17: general salt 4:28: salt about loss 4:52: salt about Reno getting a triple 6:26: salt about lags 7:38: more salt about the lag 7:56: continuing the salt about the lag 8:38: MORE salt about the lag 9:21: 6/73 taunt minion on opponent’s board 9:48: minor, general salt 18:07: opponent had a really good cleave and Kripp was a bit salty about it 21:48: giant cleave 21:54: slightly salty. I’d say overall, this video was a pretty salty one! Even though, he did end up getting that achievement at the end. Although it’s pretty entertaining to see Kripp salty, it’s great to see him get some good luck and some good achievements. Have a great day guys :)

At 7:52 and 18:06 kripp says Jesus! It is also worthy to note that kripp completes a full Jesus Christ exclamation by saying Christ at 9:21. Kripp must've felt that this achievment is unreachable without the divine help of Jesus. This shows a devotion to our Saviour like I've never seen before and I can't wait to see where this goes. Do you expect kripp to make those 3 sales and play two minions in literally 2 seconds? What he expected here was the game. not to show any animations - but it did.

I think what happened is Kripp is used to getting a 1-2 second grace period after the timer expires during which he can hastily finish cycling cards, but that turn there was zero grace period, and he wrongly interpreted it as lag.

Pisses me off so much he is CONSTANTLY looking at the little information the game gives, which is intentionally unclear - as one could always switch out the entire board at an instant, which he does all the time. Instead of looking at nearly useless information of enemies HE IS NOT EVEN FIGHTING he should just play, by god. BG is 90% luck. Dont try to make anything more out of it and just play.

6:23 - Kripp, we watched the countdown go down (5, 4, 3, 2, 1..) while you continued to *very* slowly buy and sell minions without bothering to AT LEAST play the Lightfang. Even if the timer had run out perfectly smoothly, you would have had just enough time to finish buying another minion and would still have played nothing. You *need* to stop very slowly and sloppily making your plays because it is *so* frustrating to watch and even moreso when you complain about it.

@ Bimmy Exactly! Every game has to have at least a few of these moments. At some point I actually thought he was doing it on purpose to see just how close he could get. Nowadays, I realized he just wasn't punished enough, so he thinks it's ok to play most of your turn in the last 3 seconds. Sadly, instead of reflecting on his mistake(s), he blames the game. Oh well.

@@Jarekx2007 6:24 - that's at 2 seconds and he sells the Swabby. He hovers and sells the Scallywag at 1 second left and then decides to grab the token. Yes, it 'freezes' when the time runs out with the token on the cursor - but that is because the time is up and not due to lag. I know that you sometimes are still able to queue actions at that point but that is always a gamble and there was no way he could sell, play the battlecry and drop the Lightfang.

Got first place AFK tonight with Golden Macaw and Golden Warden of Old.. I had 6-10 extra gold a turn and that was online really early. I went from 4 to 6 in a single turn and I think the next up was tavern 4 that turn so I was miles ahead. I full comp swapped to golden death rattle units just for fun b/c I was so far ahead that it just dealt like 30-40 dmg a turn and killed everyone I played. It was my best run so far. That is around 7k rating if that matters.

I tried that about 5-6 times before I finally got it last week. Weirdly, I managed to get it done while starting with a demon build and taking even more damage. But I was lucky to get a load of goldens, including Goldgrubber and a Lightfang Enforcer with different minion types on my board. The only thing I have left besides a few class wins is the 60/60 Tabbycat.

it still froze, and he still would have made it when it didnt freeze. its usually does all the animations at 0 with a little bit of inputs you can still add, which is also like 2-3 seconds. thats intended.

@@DINOMITE36 no, definitly not. he got dozens, like millions of those turn ending plays in. like yeah, sometimes he doesnt get it because he wanted to chains 10 actions on the 0 timer. but this were only 5 actions, sell 2 buy the elemental play 2, he would have chained. that would have definitly been possible for him without the lag. but the lag skipped the grace period on the 0 timer, so the turn just ended. kripp isnt exactly slow with apm. He evaluates every option until the last second which makes him do those last second things. He is used to them going through (or atleast going not as bad as they did here) whats a thing is, you often cant swap minions on that 0 timer, they often swap back. but the play he wanted to do would have been fine 100%

Kripparrian: Today a player destroyed everyone else on the battlegrounds with the Deathwing hero, several Khadgars, Dread Admiral Eliza and Scallywags. It was awesome. I had a pretty big board with divine shields, poison, attack and health but had absolutely no chance. His minion scaling, the non stopping attacks...even my game froze for some time because of all the buffing and minion summoning. If you haven't already tried it...try it. Would make a great video.

We'll never know, but maybe that tie after the freeze lead to easier matchups and enabled winning in the end... I often feel like only winning in early game gives you all the highroller opponents in a row, and sometimes you just get killed in two unlucky matches if you fail to keep up.
