Hi Amelia, the Poppy dress will be amazing, love the frill especially! The Flora pinafore would be my choice for your very lucky daughter. You know that as she grows up you won’t have time to sew your own makes because you will be sewing her request non stop. I think the Bianca might be GeForce me as I have slim hips, it looks amazing!

Funnily enough I cut the trousers 2 inches longer but they didn't look right with the short sleeves on me, so I cut them back to the original length.

Ooh, that is an interesting question. I know I prefer a zip on my trousers, but I'm not sure about whether it is better for particular body shapes.i think it probably is personal preference!

Love your flight suit. I’m intrigued too about your amendments. I made the peony dress recently and my toile was shorter at the back. I thought about doing a large seat adjustment but I worried that it would give me too much fabric where I didn’t need any? The dress isn’t tight it’s quite loose actually. Anyway I got round it by amending the ruffle at the rear. What’s your experience of the large seat adjustment? What do you think would have happened to my dress?

That is such an interesting question - I have never made a full seat adjustment, although I did consider one for the Bernadette Skirt! I am making the Peony at the moment, but with a gathered skirt to avoid any issues with the seat!

@@sewamelia by chance yesterday I came across some advice in the named clothing book building the pattern. They gave the standard adjustments of drawing lines and stashing and moving but said if the dress is loose it may be sufficient to add length to the back and blend back to the normal hem. So that’s exactly what I had done. I think that covers it. Are you doing the fabric godmother peony dress? That’s the one I meant although I think there is a style arc one. I must have misunderstood as I thought you said you had done a large seat adjustment in your. Video. X
