In this video we throw a ton of parts at the 1985 Chevrolet C30 that have been taking up space in my shop. Including AC, a stock grille, seatbelts, air pressure switch and gauges, sway bar bushings, dash pad, transmission mount AND MORE!! After we get done with all of these upgrades it was time to finally test out this LS swapped 1-ton to see if she's worth her salt towing a trailer! This one isn't for sale just yet. Another entertaining offering for a Monday evening! As you already know, I love spouting off , so here's a few random comments: 1) Your supporting cast...Mojo, Chin, and Duff are the best! 2) Not a big fan of lowered rigs, but down here in Grand Junction (Valley of the Single Buttock) they just don't work off-roading in the desert...personal preference and all that... 3) Those red floor mats make it look like you're standing on the gate to hell 4) Had a big yellow Lab (Chivas) and a beaver pond behind the house, and often times when I got home he was so totally covered in mud that the only part of him clean was his eyeballs! And he just knew he was getting hosed off! God bless...keep on rockin", we'll keep watching!

Just installed AC in my 02 Chevy 2500 hd, was a county truck so no power anything and no AC. Long story short, the AC was all new except the evaporator which requires the dash be removed. The AC lasted from Wisconsin to the New Mexico/Arizona border and then the evaporator had issues. So this is all very familiar! Glad it's working

I’ve used distilled water to find ac leaks. While it’s under vacuum spray the connections with the water. If there’s a leak it will suck the water into the system. Once you fix all of the leaks and pull a final vacuum all of the water flashes and gets sent out of the vacuum pump.

You'd be surprised how many times people see a loss in the vacuum on your AC system is because the hoses on your manifold gauges are leaking.... A HA then ffwd a few minutes and that was your problem

You can also run gorilla tape, 3 or 4 times around the sealing edge of the wheel to help it seal. I just tried it this weekend and it works great, but it wasn't my idea, I saw Colt do it on the S10 he's building on "Bl##pin' J##p" for the "X" build off 👍

A binary switch is high and low, trinary switches add a 3rd pressure point to turn on electric fans so they don't come on at the same time as the rest of the A/C electrical demand

I've a suggestion, why don't you and Puddin buy a project for each other to do, set a price between yourselves and buy the vehicle from your area and take it to him to get running and make it fast and he can pick something up for you. You could even split the distance between each other and swap the trailer. It has to be something unusual and different from what you would usually build.. the deal is you don't know what each other has picked until you swap trailers. Puddin has bought you a project and you have bought his.

I had one...still do. I also had a steering wheel/brake pedal lock. One part locked around the bottom part of the steering wheel, and there was an adjustable hook that fit around the brake pedal. You can use those old fire hose to make vertical and horizontal wind and water seals on the bottoms and sides of sliding metal garage doors. I used them on my home made hangar doors.

That was lot of work to install the AC but you did it yay. Mojo still kicking ass at 75. I got some 60 year old men that do nothing but sit at home and yap about the good old days and probably wait til death finishes them. In that sense Mojo is doing way better, seems having activity as a senior is the way to go? The Yellow Dodge seems to be too good for a Alaska car. usually Alaska cars are just rusty as hell. Wood ticks are annoying but deer ticks can get you infected with Lyme disease and that can cripple you into a wheel chair if left untreated.
