What an amazing find. Those ‘63s are gorgeous. My nephew who is 21 (I’m 45) was at my house this morning to visit my wife (his aunt, who is recovering from a spine surgery). He is a KZbinr who incidentally makes a better living than I do (I’m not salty about it in the least - his parents were worried this kid would be dead or in jail by now). He fancies himself a car guy, but really he just likes brand new Range Rovers and BMWs. He actually sat down and watched this video with me and the questions he was asking made me wonder if he was kidding. One of the questions was “did they have to make all that by hand back then?” I asked him what he meant, and he said “You know, like with a hammer and an anvil?” I was like, Jack it was 1963, not 1663. They had manufacturing back then. 😂

Not if it were driven in road salt for many years. I grew up on the Detroit area and even one year of driving thru road salt will do much damage. I'd guess this car was driven in road salt for about 5 years before starting to store it thru the winters.

That's a nice '63. She deserves to be fixed up nice. In response to your question, "Threw me for a loop" is an off shoot of "Knocked me for a loop" which is, of course, a boxing term. But "threw me for a loop" first appeared in print & comes from what the Oxford English Dictionary terms a "centrifugal railway" (roller coaster). I hope that clears it up. Well, good luck completing the '63 with your faithful companion giving you a paw. Keep up the good work.

Hey Mortske that 63 is worth every bit of $15,000.00. I can't believe the great condition it is in. Well worth a frame off restoration for someone! Send it on down to Puddin, Slick and Bill. They all know value! I would by it but I'm trying to locate a 55 chevy 3100 1st gen pickup. Im sure people have been wondering why this car was in the background for such a long time. Well at least you did not get ripped off by buying someone else unfinished project. Usually when something is in pieces all I offer is 2x the scrap value. Have gotten ripped off myself finding a vehicle with boxes of things that are just random hardware for god knows what. So good luck finding the parts if it's a limited edition or rare vehicle. Btw Mojo seems to like the break lathe it sure is a very helpful tool. Still amazed how solid this vehicle is just try to get the fine details sorted out and she be a runner one day.
