Pro tip: you can instead fix Starkiller's ridiculous long thighs by swapping with Baylan's short thighs, so no need to buy an extra Reva. Makes a world of difference on both

can confirm, Baylan and Starkiller are now the proper heights, but unless i did something wrong, Baylans legs are t i g h t and Starkillers are l o o s e, ill also add that you can use the armorers thighs to fix Shin, though again mine ended up pretty l o o s e.

I recommend hitting Shin's armor with Vallejo Oily Steel and Baylan's with Vallejo gunmetal. Makes them both look much better!

When I saw Landspeeder Luke's fix, I was surprised how easy it looked. So often these types of fixes need you to have an entire tool shed to do! These look so much better now!

I did the same mod, but if you shave a bit of plastic off the upper thigh part of the Reva leg where the peg holes are, it gives enough clearance to let the legs sit normally and you don't have to rotate the upper part around. For shin I used the legs from whats her face from Andor, Mon Mothma's cousin whatever her name was. Perfect size, color and there's a bit of overhang that you can easily glue Shin's kneepads onto without needing to dremel anything. Now to track down more solid lightsaber hilts to replace the gummy ones they come with.

it just sucks that you can't put baylon and shin's thighs on the other figures (the ball pegs are too small and they end up with wobbly legs). I think hasbro should offer to send out free thigh part replacement pieces that are the proper length for those who have these figures.

I recommend getting an electric tea kettle for out in your shop. I used to have to do the same thing by boiling and popping in the kitchen and then transporting everything outside to my shop. The electric kettle gets water more than hot enough to pop off any parts you need to

Ok, after watching this yesterday I decided to give this a try. Last night I found a spare Giddeon in my stash so I’m good there. Today, miraculously all the rest fell into place. I made a trip to my local Ollie’s and as expected I found a Reva for $5.99. They had about 10 of them there…🤮. Then I went to Walmart, and talk about miracles….on the peg next to the rotting away Landos (5 of them) and Greef Kargas (4 of them) were 1 brand new and mint Baylon Skoll and Shin Hati! I was like WTF! Those were the first two new Black Series figures I’ve seen in that Walmart in over 6 months and they just so happened to be the exact figures I was looking for. And they had the correct “orange” lightsabers. Now I don’t want to open them because they’re so rare, but after all that coming together like that I owe it to myself now to complete this leg transfer. Damm I’m a rambling old man….wish me luck….😏

3/8/24 Update: Success! Thanks to Landspeeder Luke for the brilliant research and solution, the fellas at OOTB for a quick shot reminder, and lastly to Robo for the detailed video and motivation. Baylan turns out to be just under a head taller than Shin, who turns out to be just a smidge taller than Sabine. So the scale is way better! The only problem now is Hot Toys rolled out their near perfect lifelike figures of Baylan and Shin yesterday, and when I look at that Shin Hot Toy and compare it to this effort from Hasbro it’s like comparing a $90 porterhouse steak at a fine restaurant to a $2.99 cheeseburger at Burger King. I’m now depressed and disgusted with myself for collecting Hasbro’s garbage instead of Hot Toys….🤦🏻‍♂️

With the Baylan figure, it's not so much of a "fix" as a "fudge." The single biggest problem with the figure isn't the legs being too short. It's the torso being too small. But, there's no easy fix for that. So the leg swap will have to do.

The actress playing Sabine is shorter than the actress playing Shin. By more than 2 inches. The original figure height is not far off. For my Ray Stevenson fix, I used the thighs from the Knight of Ren figure. Raises Baylen a bunch, is already black, fits the hips perfectly. Don't need to reverse the thighs to hide anything.

And as you can see at the end, she's still taller than Sabine. Just not an odd off amount as right out of the box. 2 inches in 1/12 scale is 1/6 of an inch.

@@RoboDontKnowI used Vallejo 856 Ochre Brown to do a light brown wash on her hair and give it some definition, along with a dab at the crown to match the bleach job. Also dotted near the end of her braid with flat black.

I was not expecting to find these a day after watching and posting on your video. I did the same swap for Shin but I used the stupid Knights of Ren figure to do the thigh swap. That one works too. I think I like it better because it looks like it has thigh armor that matches his torso but his knees also bend forward. I guess he can now have a broken leg.

I picked up an extra Papa Bear Baylan to custom MCU Volstagg. For the time being, I now have Darth Hector and Admiral Poopdeck Pappy, since I grabbed the last Shipwreck a few days before. The head is a hair small on Ship’s body, so I’m sure it’s gonna be tiny on whichever body I use for Volstagg, so I’ll need to add plenty of volume to his hair. Weird how I can justify $25 for JUST a head, but not the R5? 🤦‍♂️😂 Also, no James Brown Hot Tub Party Tribute? Well, Well, WELL!

Have you seen they messed up the knee pin placement on Glavis Mando? Same utter fkk up as Deluxe Boba. I can't imagine why that was done, they don't get the knee joint placement wrong on other single joint figures.

@@RoboDontKnow The point where the leg bends. It doesnt bend at the knee, it bends just below the knee position. The more you bend it the shorter the lower leg look and the longer the upper looks. Same as deluxe Boba. Oddly they get it right on Bo Katan. It's a bafflingly bad bit of design that has now ruined two of the otherwise best figures for me, mainly because there is literally no excuse for it. The actors that play Shin and Hera are both 173cm. The actors that play Ahsoka and Sabine are both 170cm. The actor that plays Reva is only 165cm. I find it hilarious that the shortest actor has the tallest figure yet there's never been 1 compliant 🤣🤣🤣

I've seen everyone's mod...but personally, I'll be cutting and using epoxy sculpt and not using limb replacements. For me it'll take about the same amount of time; possibly less,l and sculpt the add-on or missing areas to my liking. Cool that people have options to correct this lame mistake....👍

shin doesn't really need modifications, she is more or less the correct height, she is taller(5'8") than sabine and ashoka ( both 5'7") in real life. Baylon however was made too short as he is 6'3".
