I was having the grit issue in my bread from the Redmonds Real Salt. I switched to a fine Celtic sea salt and no more grit issues. I do love Redmonds Real Salt for all my other cooking needs.

Love your channel, so much better than the other channel with a similar name. Just getting into fmf so it's great having someone who has great recipes, doesn't change their mind due to sponsors. Plus your great smile and personality is a bonus.

I purchased this for the first time from Azure last haul and like it. I got the more natural/coarser variety for my salt grinder and it works for the most part. It clogs a little from time to time and I just give it a good shake at the bottom of the grinder.

Awesome! I just ordered a bag of the natural size. 😊

It looks very much like Celtic Sea Salt, which also has a moisture to it. Great to have another option with the salt as it has been hard to get Celtic Sea Salt in moments!

I stopped using Redmond’s because I don’t like the grit I was crunching on and I was using the fine ground.

Is that like Celtic sea salt? Does it have all 92 trace elements in it?
@GrainsInSmallPlaces3 ай бұрын
Yes, it is like Celtic Sea salt. They have third party testing on their salt, and comparisons on their website which might be interesting here bajagoldsaltco.com/pages/the-baja-gold-difference

I don't know what people say about grittiness in their baked goods. I have been baking with fresh milled flour for over 20 yrs., and I never experienced that. I have always used Real Salt from Redmonds. But I love a good/healthy salt and might try your suggestion. Thank you for this Video! :)

Hi, Kara. We do experience grit with the Redmond salt in our bread so I'm getting ready to order Baja Gold based on your recommendation. Question: you mentioned that there was some slight moisture in the salt. Do you change up how much salt you use in your recipes? I like to weight my salt (same as all the other ingredients). Would I need to adjust the salt grams? Thanks.

I have been following the same measurements with my salt so far. I am very happy with the results.

Hi! I have not personally tried that brand, but in researching it doesn't appear to have the trace minerals in it like the Baja sea salt.
