I am so glad you got a diagnosis and it's for cataracts because that is so treatable. I used to work in an eye department and it was such a joy to see the cataract patients the day after their surgery. They would gasp when the patch was taken off because their vision was so good from the new lens the Ophthalmologist put in. You are going to be just fine :)

I'm so sorry to hear about all of your health and vision issues. Thank goodness you found the right doctor and he has the knowledge to help you regain your vision. I think you'd have been lost without being able to thrift and decorate and share your craftiness with your subs. The best thing my husband ever did when he was diagnosed with Type 2 was eat a clean, strict Keto diet. Got him off of insulin within a year. Don't worry about us. We'll be here when you're ready to return.

Friend, I have stage 3 kidney disease and the hardest part about it has been how limiting it is when it comes to medications I can take because nearly EVERYTHING is ruled out because it’s “hard on your kidneys.” I struggle because I have rheumatoid arthritis, and I cannot take any anti-inflammatories, because NSAIDS are total destruction on your kidneys. I had a total hip replacement back in August, and I could not take anything for inflammation, and I was unable to take pain medication, needless to say my recovery was very rough! I say all that to say, kidney disease, while it might be manageable, is still extremely limiting. Be very mindful of any prescription or over-the-counter medication you are taking, and if you have any questions at all, definitely consult the pharmacist or your doctor because one of my medication’s is actually what caused kidney disease, and there have been times doctors have tried to prescribe things to me that I know I cannot take because I have kidney disease. You know I’m praying for all of your health issues. ❤

A close friend of mind has cataract , he recently had surgery on one eye, for now and later on it will be the next one. He has 20-20 vision in that eye now. I did the cataract surgery a few years ago. My advice after the surgery is keep your home dark. You will be on many drops and you will be light sensitive. Good Luck and keep us informed. It takes time. 🙏🙏

Hey Joan, my brother had the same issue and he had surgery earlier this year. I had to take him and pick him up. He had his done at the Brookfield eye institute, in Plano Texas. You’re right they did one eye at a time. He’s doing great now. You’ll do well. Glad you found out your diagnosis. I live in Frisco if you need help.

I was happy to see you back, but sad to hear about your health. I too have a lot of medical issues. So many to mention. I am so tired of doctors,tests, medications & co-pay. With all these medical issues it is hard to do all that you want to do. Either it's because you get tired easily or just not up to it. Money becomes a problem as well. So my friend, stay strong.
