thank you palesa! to be honest, every timeline is so different! there are some who submitted their docs way after me and were placed much sooner, and those who have been waiting as long as i have. i guess my advice would be to keep tabs with your recruiter (if you are going through one) or your coordinator if 6+ weeks pass by :)

I’m in the same situation with the diploma. My graduation is December 17 and I will need my apostilled diploma by the deadline in January. Do you have any advice or information on how you were able to get your diploma faster? And how long it took to get your diploma ?

i believe in my “epik timeline + cost” video i mentioned the exact dates of when i asked for my diploma and received it. biggest tip is to start asking your admission/graduation office (a week or so before school begins) on information on getting your diploma asap. tell them you have a job lined up even if you haven’t sent your application in. you will possibly pay an expediting fee as well

Hi! I've been watching a lot of videos about EPIK to learn more about it, but do they tell you your placement now before you arrive in Korea? I've read/saw that you find out once you get into Korea, so I just wanted to ask :)

hi! so epik will tell you the city or province you are placed in, but you won’t know your exact location in the city/province until the last day of orientation. a possibility is that the teacher you are replacing may reach out to you (usually facebook) and let you know about the school, city, the apartment, life in korea, etc. epik actually doesn’t like for teachers to do this, so it doesn’t happen often.

Anne. How far is Seoul from Sejong? Is this city westernized like Seoul with a lot of people who can speak English?

linda t about 1.5 hour bus ride or slow train ride. bullet train is 1 hour. it’s a very new city. there are lots of people who speak english and many who do not (i would say average, like you would find in most cities in korea?). a lot of sejong (outside of the very small city) is considered very rural/countryside
