Hey Bongoplanes…would really appreciate it if you would do a video on all the different manufacturers/sellers of scale 1:500 GSE that are out there right now. Specifically I would be interested in you comparing Herpa’s 1:500 GSE to those of Jetset Models (USA), AvGeek Models (UK), & Rambo Wings to name a few. The reason for this request is I’ve come across size discrepancies with both Herpa GSE and other companies. For example, the Herpa A380 catering trucks seem a little large compared to their previous releases of non-A380 catering trucks. Another example would be comparing the size of Herpa’s scale 1:500 firetrucks to those made by AvGeek Models. There appears to be a bunch of random size discrepancies and I’d like to know who is more correct…Herpa, or other GSE manufacturers on the market. Thanks!

In principle this is a nice idea but the suggested brands wouldn't make much sense to compare to be honest. I think the reason why you experience different sizes is because the GSE from Jetset and AvGeek Models are made in scale 400 where as Rambo Wings and Herpa make GSE in scale 500. So it would be like comparing apples and pears. The difference in size of the Herpa catering trucks is simply due to the fact that they are based on different types of trucks.
