The Sydney Botanical Gardens were amazing, and our boy had the place (almost) to himself. I could have spent an entire afternoon biking around there and the waterfront. I'm not an expert on drone flying guidelines but there's this big deal between consumer use and commercial use. Seems like if i'm not making money off the vids I can fly all I want. But apparently according to the FAA, uploading drone footage to KZbin is commercial use since you're monetizing the videos and allowing ads. To fly commercially, you'd have to pay to take an aeronautical knowledge test at a FAA approved testing site, TSA background check, and you have to register the drone. I'm sure other countries have their own UAS rules.

Jet lag: Casey, I just flew from JFK to New Zealand via Hong Kong, a 30 hour trip, without any sleep and I can tell you I suffered NO jet lag. The moment I arrived in New Zealand, the time just felt correct and I never got jet lagged. Try flying West in future, rather than through Dubai. It's not that people are extra, special nice in Australia. It's more that people are extra special rude in NYC. Basically anywhere else, you can make eye contact and say hello. Big city people will stop there, but if you're in a small town, don't be surprised if saying "hi" leads to being invited in for breakfast.
