No idea why this video played in German for some of you! But I have been practicing my German, Portuguese, French, Spanish, and Italian apparently! I think KZbin is experimenting with adding automatically dubbed language options so if you rather listen to me in another language apparently you now have the option to!

I doesn't only happen with your videos though. I'm bilingual and KZbin somehow thinks I prefer the dubbed version even though I have been listening to German and English original audios for years. It doesn't even assume a preference for a language as it changes both languages to the dubbed computer voice.

I would have installed rigid panels on the roof and mount them. One gust of wind and your can fall and break. Also would do a drip loop and a gland seal where the water doesn't get in. Also the wires will flap in the wind so would suggest using some kind clips to keep the wires on the shed wall.

I’ve been using solar products since 2020. My hydroponic system including grow lights has been running 24/7 on solar for over a year. Your EP Delta Pro is a monster. I have a smaller unit as well as DIY systems. Battery capacity is measured in watt hours. Inverter power is measured in watts. Solar panels also have wattage ratings. Volts and amps are also important. I have the portable folding panels as well as residential panels. I like the lighter flex panels for non-permanent applications but they are easily disturbed by the wind. I also have a ground mounted system using residential glass panels. Much more wind resistance and a higher solar conversion rate than the flex panels. Some of my panels are the newer bi-facial panels that can receive light on the front and back. I’ve seen plans for their use on pergola roofs. Another project idea?

Built in Benches are catch-all's. Ones hinged to the walls and folded up, when not in use, are less likely to become one. From experience, just a thought. Also, like tools, 45degree square, adjustable square, carpenter square, 4' T-square all hung on 1-2 longer peg hooks. Multiple size levels hung on one hook. Put a piece of thin plywood in the rafters to store seldom used items. If those are 8' walls hang baskets from the rafters. Lots of ways to grow 'space" in a small shed at zero cost. Nice job on the build Jacques

Once you get the dc cables extended, bring them down straight to the bottom of the shed, then across, then up into the side of the vent. That way you won’t get water tracking down the cables into the wall. Also, flexible conduit will keep it tidier. Also, the skirting round the shed, would be nicer looking if you got some coloured pvc and fixed it to the base. It’s still off the ground so you’ll have enough air in there to stop rot.

Jacques, my favorite KZbinr! I’m hoping to add solar to my shed. My shed walls are so filled with tools, no room for pegboard so I admire the neatness. I wish I could find more content on garden shed ideas so really enjoyed this, especially as I need to expand the space to park a couple tractors. Your shed is a nice size.

Same here. Tools up everywhere. However considering taking them down to put up pegboards. This way we can put up narrow tool between snow shovels, garden rakes, roof rake for snow, push broom, levels, extension ladders, fishing rods etc. Snow blower and mower take a lot of space. Don't ask me where anything is except for the tool box on work benches.

Excellent organization and updates to the shed! When you put up the gutter system for the water collection, remember to put up the guard so it's less clean up for you. I think the wired garbage could have worked for drying if you had multiple stacks into one another and spread the peppers among them, leaving the very bottom empty for ventilation, but the dehydrator works, too. 👍🏿

On the dehydrator...my wife and I have the same one. We found that with smaller things "read that as leeks, peppers, and the like) they would drop through. A mess and a pain to get out. The dehydrator company sells these fitted plastic sheets that close off some of the gaps, while not cutting the air flow.

I even use the RESTURANT supply dustpans the broom and the dustpan because it is so cool it’s almost like a pooper scooper, but I I use that a lot. I have made places where I can hang my tools at, but they’re in mydifferent parts of the garden and some in the garage. I have a garage and we use tools on both sides. I had to laugh when Jacques said, "This is my sickle." I could hear Crocodile Dundee saying: "No, this is a knife"... Several years ago I bought a 50 gallon tub full of 'garden stuff' for $5 at my local thrift store. It was filled with lots of drip irrigation tubing, various small garden tools & an old sickle. The sickle is 2 or 3 times the size of Jacques' sickle, with a short splintered wooden handle & it was quite rusted. I set out to rehabilitate it, making it useful again. I sanded the splintery handle smooth & sanded the rust off the curved blade. It is made of a high carbon steel & cleaned up nicely. Then I decided to sharpen it. Oops! I got it sharp enough to nearly cut off a finger. After I got the bleeding under control, I oiled the blade & buried in the bottom of that tub! I didn't even want to look at it again.

Nice shed! Having a stick-built, 8 x 10 shed has been a gamechanger for my gardening. Just a thought about installing gutters for rain harvesting. You've got shingles that can leach arsenic and other contaminants. For this reason, I'd only use water coming off the shed for ornamental plants. It's a bummer but safer. Metal or solid surfaces like the glass or poly panels of your greenhouse are a dif story, probably o.k. for watering all plants.

I am sorry but I started watching this video because it said solar shed, but there was a lot of other stuff involved rather than the basics of the solar shed and its operation which was my focus. Stopped watching when I found the title was misleading. Not trying to be a bad person just saying and letting you know.

Note to Jac, Leave the drought-ridden hell of California. Use that big PHD brain. Ditch the K. Too, much Paris Hilton Holyfield vibe, sensationalism, not knowledge. Still following the J.
