I finally played Hades, and it's a masterpiece

I’m noticing that a lot of folks are upset that I didn’t pay more attention to the dialogue and tutorial hints, sorry everyone! I’ll make an effort to look over those more carefully next time. I suppose I just feel pressured to not leave any silent time when I’m streaming, so I rarely take the time to quietly look around and read any text on the screen. Hope you still enjoy the video as much as I enjoyed making it!

if you dont want it to be quiet when you talk to people you can have the game audio up since the whole thing is voice acted, i usually do that when i stream this game :] and try not to worry about not talking all the time, it feels awkward at first but it can be exhausting to try and think of things to say all the time (at least for me). either way youre doing great so dont worry! never seen someone get so far so quickly

@@starbournehero771 when we play we dont have to think about both playing the game AND entertaining an audience. This means that their attention is more split as well as them having to keep up the pace of the game so they cant really stand around and do nothing to look over everything

@@starbournehero771 He is the kind of person that has a hard time focusing on paying attention to everything. He even said himself that he had too much stimulus. However, as a content creator he should prove that he's paying attention, do things that appear, and exploring the game, because the viewer isn't in the game so they can get upset when he fails to recognize parts of the game. Creators should also avoid cutting out interactions with new things. Even a second of looking at a new menu puts me at ease and makes the video less painful for veterans like me to watch. And doing this while still playing the game their way is really hard so most new creators worry about there own experience, including me.

The golden vases contain money. And if you die immediately, like in the first or second room, Hypnos and Zag have a fun bit of banter. (I told you that bc it looks like you're already so good at this game you could only die that quick on purpose.) Basically every possible choice(or mistake) you could make results in new dialogue. And, speaking of choice, to give important advice in the least spoilery way possible, you can say yes to everyone, no one will get mad.

He's not wrong though. Achilles throws a temper tantrum because agamemnon takes his war bride. He has to be stopped from attacking agamemnon by the gods-and that happened in book one of twenty four of the iliad. He goes on to not fight, causing the achaeans to almost lose the war, only fighting after his boyfriend gets murdered by hector. Although most of the achaeans suck to be honest.

Hades is the most well developed game I’ve ever seen. Literally everything about it is executed perfectly. Perfect story, characters, lore, gameplay, skill progression, variety of runs, art style, soundtrack, I could go on and on. It takes the simple genres of dungeon crawlers and rogue likes and combines them into a masterpiece that makes you want to keep playing run after run to progress your relationships with the amazing cast of characters and to try any of the virtually infinite combinations of builds that are possible.

Just finally played hades for about 40 hours the past week. This game feels to me like what OG Binding of Isaac was. Really good game that has room to improve. Hopefully Hades 2 can be what Rebirth was for BOI. Currently the enemy/boss variety are pretty lackluster. Builds have great variety, but you're always fighting the same things. Hades storytelling 10/10 Hades Gameplay loop 7.5/10 Really solid game tho that's for sure, can't wait to see the sequel.

The shear volume of dialouge in the game is incredible, I played over 50 hours, possibly more before I started hearing repeating lines. After 80 hrs on the game total I agree, full on masterpiece!

idk if you ever found out, but re: the aphrodite boon you took that you thought gave you health; it boosts the amount of health you're given from the centaur hearts (and other things that boost your max hp); when you got one later that run, you got +36 max hp instead of the normal 25.

Good luck in your adventure! It's a fun game for sure. Some of the combos you can get going with the hammer upgrades are nuts. This is one of those games where there isn't a tutorial in-game so just read everything and keep trying different stuff.

Though I'm the kind of person to make my game perfect so don't mind that too much either. I assume you played with audio off. strongly believe in playing how you want to play but personally I believe part of the fun of this game is the dialogue and what have you. I also think you should take your time with everything. like looking around and actually seeing what everything says so you can understand things better. but if you wanna rush things then go ahead just understand that if you dont enjoy yourself much suddenly that may be why. Also can the audio be louder please?
