Jean Grey was always my personal favorite in these games. As it was, she was already my favorite character in media, but her telekinesis gives her a unique niche that only Magneto was able to replicate in the following game.

Ok in the first game psycich shout is broken bc of telekinetic combat which increases ALL mental damage raising her strike stats to like 357-542 damage per hit in the second one a much needed nerf was given to her and she now fits into the “above average character”

I think It was more like a combination and retelling of their history because if you play through the entire game they have flashback missions where they are fighting in their classic costumes and they just eventually evolve into the ultimate costumes that they have in the game

Storm is #1 in this game , she takes down Sentinels far easier, and can handle the Nuke mission obstacles by herself. Jean is a close second. I'd have to go with Nightcrawler as #3, followed by Iceman , Cyclops , and Wolverine.

I loved the ability to tweak the offensive/defensive abilities of whoever you didn’t directly control. You didn’t have to think about heals as much.

SECOND game is better. Better story, MORE characters (if you do the PSP version you get an extra 4 characters) and importantly - i was able to finish the second one, whereas the first one had a timed level on a ship which nobody in my family could ever complete, even if you were only Nightcrawler

2nd game is better. I play it constantly, I play the first once a year. There's not much difference in the way you can build the characters in the first game , reducing its replayability. Second game's biggest flaw was equipment management.

X-Men Legends game play love is the second one. Not that people didn’t enjoy the first game, but the first game has some problems that Raven didn’t end up repeating with the sequel. I’d guess it’s also still held with some regard in the overall series since Marvel Ultimate Alliance ending up dropping some things Legends 2 did to streamline things more; so where there’s really no reason to play the first Legends game over the second, there is still a reason to play Legends 2 even though Marvel: Ultimate Alliance exist.
