The sunglasses guy is Rob Riggle. Was a full bird colonel in the Army or Marines, one step from General. And left back in 2010, to follow his dream, stand up comedy and acting!

Lol close but no. He was a lt colonel but entered under the marines reserves during college and after graduating with a BA in film, was a commissioned officer, like literally all college grads. Absolutely nothing special about it. He was a public relations guy for the marine reserves until 2013 and his time and job was pretty much always entertaining actual troops.

This movie is fire and funny as hell. Me and my boys still quote it to this day. I was pumped when I saw that you were reacting to it. I remember watching this at the dollar theatre with my friends (we'd ride our bikes there all the time). Laughed so damn hard when Rock and Samuel L hit the ground, that's when we knew it would be wild. We would sneak in to R rated movies easily lol, just bought a different movies ticket and walked right in.
