I once found a cyan PT that eas level 145. I tamed it with 100% taming effectiveness and named it Syntac. I was jumped by a thyla while taking it to the redwoods and died. When I returned, I saw the bodies of low-level Argentavis littered across the mountain side. Amazing, until it died to the thylas bleed attack. 💀

My favorite early game is gonna have to be the Iguanodon. Unlimited stamina on four legs, hella fast, gathers berries like a champ, can make seeds for you and packs a somewhat good punch if levelled correctly

Make Pokeballs and a gun, pick up your pets. There are actual metal nodes at the end of the river before it drops off into the blue zone. Hit C on the moschops and he harvests an area. Nice pet man you really worked for it. Name him Bol as in the Runner.

I hate and love the dense foliage while it's less than ideal while walking about, once mounted it becomes less of a problem and looks both beautiful and realistic.

Ah, the Stego is in my preferred base area for singleplayer / the early game. This area was exceptionally safe in Survival Evolved, as Ravagers and Basilisks wouldn't spawn here. As such, the only real threat that you would have to fight would be Raptors (there was also Spinos and Karkinos, but they never strayed too far from the stream. Additionally you'd see some Megalosaurus spawn towards the Bioluminescent zone, but that's far enough away that you should be fine). Tragic that it looks like the Yi Ling is spawning in the Survival Ascended version, I'm not too sure how that will impact the area's lethality.

For metal nodes there is a couple around the fertile zone. If you recall your first aberration series in ASE, I believe in episode 5 and 6 you used this cliff island as a base. On that island there is 2 metal nodes and some crystal nodes but it is surrounded by spore mushrooms. There is also a 2 rich metal nodes on the main land but it is hidden by metal debris. Honestly that area is a good early game start, metal, crystal, there is silica pearls in the river and in the lake and there is a gas vein nearby where it connects up to portal. You should be able to find it because there is this big metal bridge that is broken in half which should be easy to spot. Assuming the other members have not claimed that area.

I haven't played AS:A, but what unironically works better than stone gates are actually wooden billboards (at least back on AS:E). Place 2 Billboards in a V shape, with a small gap at the point of the V. Lure it into the Billboards, and the creature will consider it to be stuck terrain-wise. At some point, the creature will turn to flee to prevent "cheese" techniques, and if you are fast enough, place a third Billboard behind the creature as its running. It should now be stuck in the running AI, allowing for safe tranqing.

i know its been a while since you've used stegos, so a little advice. they're decent wood gatherers. if you change the spikes to i want to say defensive mode, they gather wood fairly well compared to getting it by hand. and in that mode, they dont get berries, just wood and thatch. one of my tribemates and i, first day on ab ascended, got ourselves a stego for wood gathering since we didnt have honey for a roll rat. :)

Try edge 1 by blue zone waterfall. Theres a path going SE or it’s 34x60. Little to no predators spawn at all. Then a bonus is the ledge on the left side when you look over the waterfall. Great safe place to camp for resources! I’m here now in solo no mods

Goliat!! for the Stego name: btw , you can get Cosmo in the green area, they are hard to find beacuse of the bushes but if you pay atention to the names you see while walking arround you can find one, they ussually get to you very playfull. They are voer power with the hability to shoot web , infinite amo and the more meeley you bumpt the more damage it makes. also swinging arrownd is realy like being spiderman, it is like a using a hook but with the spidey animation and with no fall damage. also a shoulder gun to be shooting animals while on shoulder and stunning them. very hando for those craptors and ravagers that comes out of nowere.

Watch out with the climbing pick, I have heard that they are bugged for now, If you trigger the bug you are sent outside of the the map coordinate, die, and loose your character... They highly recommanded to not use them until they are fixed. Use the wolf spider instead, anyway, it's way better.

Imo, karkinos are better than argies. You can hold 2 ankies, and now they can also breed, so imprinted krabs will be a thing. Plus the ankies are already at ground level to auto harvest metal nodes, or you can just have a couple tribemates ride the ankies and swing at everything

Absolutely look for a good leveled Iguanadon. I've been able to outrun everything but the Nameless so far (I haven't gotten that deep into the blue zone yet). Plus, they can be pretty tanky!

My only recommendation for the grass on aberration is `grass.sizeScale 0.7` or less. You will never find baby dinos with the default height and it doesn't help you hide from players running sizeScale 0.1.

Yep some dinos are acting very strange on aberration Had 1 or 2 moments like that with raptores they straight ran past me without a reason 😅 And also yep stegos are insane since they got there dlc The slow effect of the heavy plate makes it so easy to kill alphas earlygame and it harvests berries, thatch and wood very effective also you can shoot of them and you cant be dismounted on them good for the first trips in the redwood I tame them as soon as possible

Me and my friend were playing the new aberration update and got pretty lucky at first we kept dying to basilisk but then we found a unconscious lvl 50 iguanodon so we said huh free tame and tamed it then a few minute later we found a 150 mother with the child so we … recycled the mother for its organic material and “saved” the baby oh btw we found a dead basilisk that had a iguanodon saddle in it
