Okay jk everyone, the way I did it in this video is not fermented rice water it’s just regular rice water (after further review lol) I didn’t let it sit out in room temperature I put mine straight in the fridge as shown in the video. If you try rice water you can do it either way but results may vary. Also in some of the videos I watched some people rinsed off the rice and some people didn’t but the results didnt look too much different in each video such just be cautious about that too. Thanks for watching :)

Well rice water does work ive been using it for almost 6 months now and i got 3.5 - 4 inches of growth normally i get like 2.5 - 3 inches cause my hair use to grow half an inch in a month so yes it works and you have less hair shedding. Using it once a week is perfect cause too much of good stuff is bad stuff Ps: i leave my Rice water to ferment for 3 days

I’ve been using rice water on my hair for like 8 to 9 months now the results??? The results are WONDERFUL!!!! It’s retained ALL MY LENGTH and made my hair stronger plus shiny when I’m doing the treatment I stopped doing it every week the first 2 months because the results were so astonishing I was like ok... I don’t need to be so regular with it anymore but TRUST!!! It’s DOES WORK u just have to be consistent. And leave it out in room temperature for at least 2 days .... u see best results that way...but the smell is very nasty lol ... it WORKS!! I have videos that I do as well but haven’t done a rice water protein treatment video yet lol... I’m lazy asf lmao. But it works y’all! @@GoOgleAccount-rq7cs hi .. well I use to do it every weekend like on a Sunday. I soak the rice in water over night maybe for 24 hrs or even for 2 days. Then I recycle it by rinsing in a bowl. I do it at least 3 times by rinsing my hair over n over again, then throw it away. No spray (but u can do that too)... Or repoo or condionter lol. Just rinse. So every weekend for like a month. It retained all my length n made my hair shiny but u don't wanna over kill ur hair with protein so be careful. Just listen to your hair if that make sense lol. I haven't done rice water treatments in a while since then... It's been like 10 months now lol. Hope this helps.

So rinse rice to clean then place in a mason jar (with water of course) and a few drops of peppermint oil. Let sit room temp for 2 days. Then stir then transfer water into spray bottle squeeze all the rice as well to get excess water. Next shampoo and towel dry..then apply to roots first then to rest of hair. Whatever is left pour on if u want. Cover with plastic cap for 30 Mins. Next rinse hair (not cool water) apply conditioner and style as usual. I been doing it for 2 weeks I’ve had less shedding and more growth than usual and my hair is softer and shiny

Wash and rinse rice first. Then add your clean water to the rice. Cover it and let it sit at room temp. You can also add your orange peel. THEN after 24, 48hrs. of sitting out it's ready to use. I’ve tried it too. Left the rice water out to ferment and it smells like old dog balls... so gross but I mixed mine with stuff. I steeped some potent nettle and added eucalyptus oil since both are beneficial for hair. It had a teeny bit of an underlying smell but since eucalyptus is such a strong smell, it wasn’t too overpowering. But seeing you used it with orange peel, I might use orange essential oil or something else like that. Thanks for the measurements too bc I never thought about doing that. I did the rice water thing for the non shedding and to strengthen my hair. Idk if it was the conditioner I used on my hair or the leave in but after, my hair was sooooo soft! Never felt it like that in my life. May well be something to this rice water method

so I will add some personal tips and my personal experience. I see some others shared it is best to leave the rice water out for room temperature for 24 hours which is exactly what I do when using rice water. I also make sure I rinse my rice off first before creating my rice water. After 24 hours I put my rice in a spray bottle or applicator bottle it is a lot easier to use. Another major tip rice water is similar to a protein treatment so I make sure to add my favorite cream moisturizer or (leave in conditioner )and sealing oil (castor oil) after I have sprayed my hair with rice water basically following the (LCO) method. This is to make sure I'm not having a protein overload. Ive been using rice water during my protective styles under my wigs and I wish I could insert pics my hair has grown SOOO much and so thick. I have had this one area that was so stubborn to grow for years and rice water was the only thing that made the hair grow back. I only use the treatment one week out of the month just because I have protein sensitive hair but I recommend it to everyone!!

The thing with the rice water method you have to do it for a good while to see much growth. My routine consisted of deep conditioning either overnight or for 1 hr with a mixture of yogurt, coconut or castor oil and rice water. I would also add rice water to my conditioner. I would cowash and wash my hair once a month for about 6 months which i my hair had grown 3/4 of the length.

U can either leave it to ferment, for 24 hours or more. But I’m an impatient person so i make my rice water like I’m boiling rice. This is because as it heats up all the nutrient from the rice goes into the water when u boil it which is the same as fermenting just in a lazy way. And it works. I used mine for 4 weeks straight 3 days a week, and this was when i had my faux locs. When i finally took the locs out, girl my hair grew and it was thick. Trust me i was scared doing that because that’s way too much protein, but surprisingly my hair didn’t fall out, normally whenever i take my braids out and comb it out i get shedding here and there but this time? Nothing. The rice water did start to get thick and smell tho so i dilute it with water to prevent that from happening, as for the smell? Peppermint is my best friend. I am giving it a break tho, and only time I’ll deal with rice water is when i have any protective style on my head.

And in addition to that, i make my own hair growth oil using the Ayurvedic method. It’s just more better for me because that way i know what ingredients I’m putting in my hair and i know it’s no for if harsh chemical or anything. I used fermented rice water on braids for about three months, I believe it worked. I had to cut off major ends due to heat damage and its back to normal. I would recommend using it on styles you don't have to do major touching with and sometimes people use it too much and it's still a protein treatment, so my experience with it has left my hair very thick and my length has grown back; I usually have stunted hair growth from alopecia so three months on a regular don't grow nothing lol. Love the video 💞

@@shakimasweetz3529 I left it in five days then washed it periodically ; for three months but I spread the amount with just one spray bottle so it fermented really long. It only smells when you let it ferment for 24 hrs or longer! Then place it in the refrigerator to stop the fermentation process till use. Then it's quite potent!!! I think it works best when its fermented vs not fermented!! It usually makes your hair very soft with the fermented version, I've done many treatments to my hair with fermented ricewater and I add essential oils to it to combat the horrible smell usually peppermint and it works just fine. Then follow up with a leave in conditioner and follow your normal hair routine! I love these treatments!!! You also have to do these treatments as a regular routine to see or get the best results!!!

So I don’t think the rice is for growth I’ve noticed over all it’s good for strengthening purposes. I’ve been using it since about mid Jan. The biggest thing I noticed was less shedding I used to shed a ton and now it’s about dime to nickel size depending on how long it’s been since I detangled. I continue to use this as it helps save me money since I’m not buying protein deep conditioners as much.i think I was able to stretch my Camille rose for two months. I’m high porosity so I deep condition 1x a week.

Vanessa Moris protein treatment is meant to strengthen the protein bonds in the hair shaft, while a conditioner is meant to give hair hydration and moisture. Too much protein can cause hair to break, which is why it’s encouraged to use protein treatments occasionally.

Hi I have checked out lots of videos on rice water treatments and I think the mistake you made is by putting your rice water in the fridge to ferment. I put mine in a warm dark place for 3 to 5 days. I only put it in the fridge if I have made too much as the refrigerator slows down / stops the fermenting process. My results were really good I used the treatment to help me through my transition to going natural. My hair was at armpit length, ever 2 weeks I washed my hair trimmed 2/3 ins of my heat damaged hair did the treatment and by the end of the next wash day I had my 2/3 ins back. It gave me the confidence to big chop to shoulder length this summer. I am how using black rice water as a daily leave in conditioner and a rinse on wash day. Getting the moisture balance is tricky but it’s working well my hair is 3/4 ins from armpit which I hope to achieve by next summer. Hope this is helpful. Keep up the good work x 🙏🏽

Hey Jess, You get more nutrients from the rice when you boil it. It is a straight up protein treatment not a conditioner. Works best when applied after shampooing. Used to stop breakage and mend split ends. Not necessarily to increase growth. So your new growth won't show a big improvement but your hairstrands will. Think of it like an organic Aphogee Protein Treatment. It is meant to strengthen and heal the hair you have not encourage hair growth. Rice water rinse needs to be followed by a good deep moisturizing conditioner. I put it in a spray bottle (like you did Week 3) so I can spray it on my scalp and all down my hair strands to the ends. That works best for me and is less messy. I do it bi-weekly. I follow TheMestizaMuse on IG. She is a natural hair curl genius. First heard about rice water from her.

Thanks for the time and effort in making your video. I was looking for someone with the same or similar grade and length as mines and found you. Transitioned 3 years ago and was content with my regrowth but still an inch or two from my normal prior length.

Yes the frig stops the fermentation process. So proper fermentation is at room temperature. If you measure your hair twisted, that’s the way you always have to measure. Your hair measures a bit longer out of twist. Just some tips.
