Honestly, thank you for having sane reactions to this show. I've seen some dumbass opinions. People don't realize that characters like Ginny can be multidimensional. I know literally every girl was an absolute terror when they were 16 so was I. It's the most cringe era of your life, and honestly ginny copes with her shit pretty understandably for someone that age

Funny enough, Felix Mallard “Marcus” is actually Australian. So even though he did the more dramatic Australian accent that Americans often use to imitate Australians….that was his natural accent just a bit more dramatic

FINALLY someone who doesn't think Hunter isn't bad, like I SWEAR TO GOODNESS, I see so many people preferring Marcus over Hunter, like seriously?!?! like I just believe that Netflix has this thing of girls eyeing the bad boy who's struggling mentally but deny the sweet guy like Hunter. from what I've seen it's people judging Hunter saying he ain't good looking or man pony ain't it, him being cringe especially with the song he written for Ginny like isn't that romantic why is it cringe??! but WHEN HUNTER DOWN ON GINNY NOT GIVING SHIT ABOUT HER NOT SHAVING DOWN THERE AND CALLED HER BEAUTIFUL I WAS LIKE YESSS THANK YOU. @bear marcus and ginny also have more chemistry overall. I think that if they switched actors (hunter's actor as marcus and vice versa) people would like hunter and ginny way more

Hunter and ginny have no chemistry or at least very little compared to marcus and ginny. I think that's the main reason why and it makes everything he does seem "cringe" or at least makes the cringe unforgiveable. But I think most people will agree that Hunter wasn't a bad person or a bad partner, just bad in terms of how compatible he was with ginny. It's a shame though 'cause I also like Hunter but I knew him and her weren't right. You are right that a lot of people mostly like Marcus because he's hot but I also think, in season 1, marcus and ginny had a better connection. Ginny was able to confide in him about certain things she couldn't tell Hunter and Hunter was also able to confide in her about his depression and his best friend's death. They just seem to be on the same wavelength most of the time whereas with Hunter, it didn't seem like they really understood each other (especially showcased in their relationship-ending argument about race). They explore that connection more in season 2 but I'm not sure if you had watched it by the time you wrote this comment so I won't mention that.

I know so many people love Georgia because she did so much for Ginny and Austin but people are forgetting that she still did a lot of illegal things that can get her in trouble with the law….that literally impacts Ginny and Austin. Plus, Georgia is a grown adult now……she’s not a teenager, so she doesn’t have to keep running away from her problems, if anything her constantly moving them around is setting a bad example because it’s teaching Ginny and Austin that if things start to go south even just a bit…..run away from them, instead of trying to face it. Imagine growing up knowing that one of your parents killed someone, and started doing illegal things regardless of their reasons…..you can’t just forget that, and forgive them and act like everything is all sunshine and rainbows….there’s still actual consequences to it.

I like georgia but after ginny came home in season 2 they way she acted was wild. Throwing all the food in the house away because Ginny didn't want to eat dinner is crazy. Georgia also held that ginger kid's nose and allowed Austin to punch him which again is a little wild. She teaches Austin to have his guard up with the whole "sting first",( hurt people before they hurt you ) which is kinda toxic. people ignore that Georgia can be very immature because they like the idea of Georgia, that she is a young, fun and pretty. She's different to most mums but people need to understand that different isn't better, there are always disvantages ( which is hard for people to accept for some reason ) people need to stop invalidating Ginny's life because they want a mother like that anyways I do love both Ginny and Georgia tho
