This movie is ambitious for a teen movie imo, because as you watch it you realize that Drea and Eleanor are a little worse than you thought and that some other characters are a little better. It plays on the characters' POV and biases to recontextualize the film and I think that was cool.

I do love that this movie is a little more wild and over the top with everything from clothing (eventhough those uniforms are straight out of every kdrama), to the characters and just the storyline, it at least kind of brings back the feel of 90s and 2000s movies. Still definitely not a masterpiece but it’s definitely one of the better Netflix products in a longgggg while, also Sophie going „I don’t do cocaine. I don’t even know what it looks like“ is definitely my favourite line Also some of the lines and fashion choices were not it, it was obvious that the producers were trying a bit too hard to make it relatable and liked by genz
