We basically never actually saw Cyn. At the beginning of episode 5 we see a drone awaken at the bottom of the corpse pile, that was Cyn. The solver appeared before her and said "i see you are dead, i can give you eternal life if you let me in" and being a scared drone at the bottom of a corpse pule, agreed to the deal. After that the solver was in charge. it's goal is to Eat the universe, and have some fun while doing so.

Just so you understand the Zombie Drone tape. All JCJenson worker drones are technically required to be properly disposed of via a step-by-step guide. However, because hubris, no humans really do this. This is a very bad thing, because if improperly disposed, there is a 0.1% chance that a drone will reboot itself after death. Of that 0.1% chance, there is a 0.7% chance of that ‘Zombie Drone’ developing hazardous mutations to its programming. This is what the Absolute Solver is. It manifested when Cyn rebooted herself after death and it grew in power as it continued to mutate

@@strgunlinr2464 Just in case this is real sarcasm, it is actually a very well thought out and unique plot point. It plays on the fact that general learning algorithms in real AI work by simply mashing together a ton of random things until they randomly get the right answer, and then they know that putting those two seemingly random things together is correct, so they start combining more and more complex random things until it has the illusion of intelligence. Murder Drones takes that to a new level, by applying the fact that the universe and it's laws of physics can be described by algorithms (that's how we discovered them after all), which means that theoretically, there is an algorithm that allows you to CHANGE those laws of physics. Which is essentially how quantum mechanics works: It posits that the laws of physics ARE equations in and of themselves, and that by manipulating the "numbers" (variables) in those equations, we're able to do freaky things like quantum superposition or entanglement. But Murder Drones presents the idea that if you were to give a super advanced learning program (like the Absolute Solver) the ability to learn EVERYTHING at a rapid pace (which is what happens when a zombie drone reboots and the worker drones OS doesn't reboot with it to control the learning process), there is a very small, but possible chance that the machine will just randomly discover the equation that allows it to create black holes at will, or control matter on such a precise level that it can create living tissue from any material by changing it's atoms. Is it sci-fi and probably not actually that simple real life? Sure, but it is a very interesting plot point that you won't find anywhere else, and it does have some small basis in reality and the current culture regarding AI and it's potential pros and cons.

Tessa was the only survivor, and she's surrounded by the scientist dudes we see in the pilot and episode 7. So the really fucked up part is that Cyn let Tessa live, perhaps to instill terror or a false sense of hope, and then came back for her at some point, after which it gave her the damn Michael Afton treatment (as in it peeled off her skin and wore it like a damn onesie) So yeah, thanks for the new sleep paralysis demon Liam Vickers!

Chat is wrong, Cyn IS a host and not the Absolute Solver. The Absolute Solver needs to corrupt a drone in order to physically interact with the real world. Cyn isn't the Absolute Solver itself since she did used to be Tessa's favorite, considering that she has the same bow and hairstyle as Tessa, until she was marked for disassembly and was improperly disposed of. That was when the Absolute Solver corrupted her (somehow, we don't know where it came from, but Cyn did used to have an actual personality before she got corrupted, it even says it on Cyn's wikipedia page that "little is known before her disposal" in the personality section).

I just realized the arrow turning to flesh in Episode 4 was very likely a signal from Cyn to V saying "Hey. This one. You need to kill this one." You can see her solver turns yellow for that part, even though for the rest of the episode she is purple like normal. It explains why V then immediately tries to do as asked of her, and why she doesn't explain to N. I mean what do you even say? More info about the absolute solver: the absolute solver is actually a host but host in the beginning episodes is Cyn being the main controller of the silver, The camera things were controlled by the silver, but took over for the place that Uzi, Thad and Nicholas thought it was Julissa. The person that is the host of the absolute solver has full control from any distance. despite the host not being in the same spot as the solver solver can go wherever. Another thing about the host is that they can control those with the same exact power as them which also connect the dots on why both Uzi and her cousin,Doll have the same abilities.
