the grab wiff punish, he baited it too by that crouch before, but yeah that was just poor game knowledge from that palu. she's so tall too there's no way a dash grab would connect. also game 1 hbox did a falling backair onto her sheild which he landing cancelled into fsmash, and she tried to grab punish that as well, but the spacing was way out. i just dont think she knew the match up at all.

Well its ult vs melee, and hbox is (mostly) desensitized to melee wins cause he's been playing and scoring at least decently pretty much throughout his career as a melee player. Ultimate though he rarely wins ANY tournaments.

You should also probably consider that for melee tournaments, hbox also probably isn’t challenged at all by people outside the top 20, whereas in ult he is significantly challenged by most people he plays in bracket

Definitely some really clutch gameplay. However, I can't help but feel like the Palutena choked a little there at the end. Instead of doing a dash attack which would have pressured Juan's already low shield and been safe from a Ko from Juan's grab I would say that going for a run up grab was a poor choice and just lucky that Juan ducked in time. That being said, Hbox you played like a true legend in this tourney. That Falco must have been frustrating to defeat.
