I think now is the perfect time to experiment and learn characters who aren't commonly used. Ultimate has such a big roster that there's no way we've seen everything they all have to offer. We'll probably get a new smash game before we even touch the surface of what every character can do. Look at games like Marvel Vs Capcom 2 and Tekken Tag 2, both have big rosters that wasn't fully explored. Now when you go back to them? You see character combinations that you wouldn't have thought worked. Don't be afraid to bust out your for fun mains because they might be just as good as your actual mains.

I always tell everyone, Doc is good. But for real, everyone in Ultimate have thier own merits. There's not really a "bad" character in this game. Although, a lot of them did get worse when compared to the DLC. The moment Joker got released, it started a brand new type of power creep that even top tiers for the time could barely keep up.

Doc is a low tier, but granted with how he was playing not many characters have a good response. Pill, pill engage into grabs, then up smash and up b out of shield are free punishes. Palutena and ken wouldnt have the best way to counter that. Sonic on the other hand... Lol
