On December 21, 2021, I was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer after months of appointments, biopsies, and misinformation. Since then I have shared my healing journey in the hopes that I may help that one person out there who is navigating a challenging time and feels alone.
Back when we first met with our oncologist, 16 weeks of chemotherapy sounded like a mountain I wasn't sure I was strong enough to climb. And while it has certainly been the hardest months of our lives I now know that I was given this mountain to show others it CAN be moved.

Have your wife look up Dr David Brownstein interviews on y t on Iodine. See y t chan Nutrition with Judy she has an excellent interview with him...also on her channel look up "Iodine crisis Lynn Farrow". Awesome. My wife got to ring "the bell" last week after 4 rounds of red devil and 12 weeks of Taxol. Surgery next week followed by 6 weeks of 5 days a week radiation. Prayers for all of those going through this time in their lives.

I just discovered your channel on my KZbin feed and was anxious to watch this particular video. I am a 22 year breast cancer survivor and just wanted to tell you how much your video inspired me. Even though my treatments ended years ago I can still relate to all the feelings you are now experiencing. I was much older than you are ( 47) when my cancer was discovered. It happened in a very similar situation as yours ( and many other women). I felt it myself and thought that even though I had had a mammogram 6 months earlier that something didn't feel right. I was in the doctor's office that afternoon, had an ultrasound and in less than a month I had a bilateral mastectomy and was scheduled to see an oncologist at Duke University Breast Oncology Clinic. I had 5 rounds of A/C and spent my summer close to home. I was TIRED and sick and felt like the only person in the world going through this. I know that I wasn't but I didn't know anyone else who had experienced anything as scary as what I was going through. This was LONG before the internet and You Tube and cancer was a huge deal to feel like I was alone. However, I did finally meet some older breast cancer survivors and had some much needed visits from them with encouraging words. You are very fortunate to have a loving partner who can take over some of the "domestic" type chores and who can cook for you and give you that much need emotional support and encouragement. Eamon seems like such a compassionate and caring person....many breast cancer patients are not as fortune. I'm so happy you have that in your life !!! Your family seems wonderful and so very encouraging....I missed that terribly since my family had all passed away by that time, even my beloved twin brother. Cherish all the wonderful videos that your friends and family make for you....WHAT A GIFT that is and so funny. Anyway....I didn't mean to go on so much but your video really touched me and I wanted you to know that life does go on and can be so beautiful after cancer. I too have suffered with neuropathy which my doctor's do not attribute to the chemo but I can't help but wonder about it. I have adapted to it and find that with regular exercise and rest , massage and topical solutions I can remain somewhat active. I love your home and plan on watching other videos on your channel to catch up on how you came to acquire it and the renovations. LOVE your dog too....I can't imagine going through cancer without a beloved dog to snuggle and comfort you. My dog was a very special part of my summer of chemo...such a comfort and always ready to snuggle. I hope the next few weeks will be a time of recovery for you and you will enjoy the beauty of the coming warmer days. My best wishes !!!!

It's taken me until today to watch this. I have been terrified... have stage 4 abdomen cancer it is also in my pelvic bone and back. You are a true wqrrior. I start my 2nd round of chemo (I beat colon cancers ass!) I will lose my hair this time i also have permanent damage to my nerves so suffer from neuropathyin my hands and feet. When you posted the video about finding out about cancer something moved in me. I went to the doctors and check something what I had on mind for months. Turned out it was skin cancer. In the beginning Bec said she shouldn’t jump like that because she doesn’t have muscles anymore, and I thought to myself- I just know she’s going to be on here in a few months showing us tips on how to regain strength after what she’s gone through. I’m lucky to not have had cancer, but I do have medical conditions following a surgery that has caused me to also lose my muscles, and I have no idea how to get them back! I know regaining your strength will be difficult Bec, but you are so powerful in the fact that you can motivate me to want to do the same through watching you power through, and I already know you have what it takes to get it done. I’m in my early 20s and I really look up to you both, thank you Bec, I love you!

Congratulations Bec! So proud of you! I cried with you! I’m also from Canada. Steinbach, Manitoba. And I just found out last week that I have breast cancer. I’ve had a crazy last year. So far in this past year I’ve survived my husband’s infidelity, separation, 2 moves, my mom being diagnosed with breast cancer, having surgery and being declared cancer free, and now getting my own diagnosis. Oh my gosh Eamon and Bec, I'm a 65 yr old grandmother with two daughters. I bloody sobbed all the way through this video as I kept thinking if this was one of my daughters, I'd be an absolute basket case 100% sure on that. So that's how I see you Bec as a daughter. You should be so darn proud of yourself because I am too very proud of you and yes we both know there could be a lot more around the corner with major surgeries etc and you will come through that with such grace as well. Eamon I am very proud of you too love, because every though you have suffered emotionally you have kept a happy disposition for Bec's sake. So major hugs for you too.
