I don't doubt for a second that you were guided to find and adopt Maisie when you did despite it not being too long after Dora's passing. When the time is right I'm sure you'll be guided to find another dog with which to share you and Maisie's life. Any dog would be blessed to have you as their human.

I was actually at a zoo the other day in Doha, and saw a lion and thought of him which is weird I know, but you are a very regular part of my life and so your pets are also. 😢 I’m glad he isn’t suffering now and I know you will grieve so I’m glad you have a good cuddle partner there with Maisie. Beautiful dress, and I'm so sorry for your loss. I had another one who I adopted at a Pets Mart event who was the same, so chill and sweet I thought I could never replace him. That was until a stray doxie mix puppy found me at work, followed me for 2 miles, and made me adopt him. No regrets. In time a dog will find you.

I kept seeing my dog out of the corner of my eye for about a year after he died, so I understand about taking some time to think about getting another dog. Loosing a pet is always hard and this year especially was tough. First Dora and now Lion. Pls think of them as little stars that look after you.🫂 We lost a lot of pets the last two years. The last our little Yorkie girl Ginger at 16 years in spring. But the house was so quiet with just one dog and we are now a house of 4 again. The gown is stunning.

I think that issue with sleeve is just that it seems be more gathered on the back than in the front in the arm's eye in comparison with second sleeve so it probably be quick fix (but that's task for future Rebecca)

I know exactly what you mean when you say you believe your companion is still with you: I swear I sometimes still hear Mia. Maisie knows. As someone who has been on the Sheer Long Sleeve train from day one, I LOVE that they made it through to the final design! I feel like they really make the touch of it in the sleeve cap and bodice make a lot of sense amongst all the purple. The dress is so good! I really love this design, it feels super unique and so wonderfully of the period in a way I don’t often see people do. Overall, I feel like these unique yet historical choices are a hallmark of your costuming!

Stunning work as always. When you talk about adding something to the gown around the neck line if you had kind of a standing ruffle of lace like you have at the end of your sleeves that might be a very fun addition. I am so sorry for your loss! He knew how much you loved him and left feeling that love. It’s been five and a half years since my late senior pup passed away, and the pain doesn’t go away. But it does lessen in its severity over time, and adopting another (when I was ready) definitely helped heal the shattered pieces of my heart. I wouldn't get another dog until Mischief passed away as she was then10 years old. I've purchased a 13 week old greyhound pup & I'm going to call it"MAYHEM". I will get a kitten next month. I enjoy the company of animals to people.

After I had to put my Baby down in 2006 it was a daily thing for over a year of coming to terms with the fact that she wasn't there. I would hear her bark to come in, I would feel her squirm in the bed to get under the covers. I felt her there with me so often that I am half convinced she was there. Back in late 2023 My darling yellow cat, Aidan, developed mouth cancer. He was my best friend and I was holding on to him so hard because I couldn't bear to let him go. Then I read something. It said "Better to put them down one day to early than one minute to late" and realized that I was keeping him alive for me and that was not fair to him. He was my best friend, and over a year later, I am still lost without him. I have 8 other cats (4 adopted after his loss) and while I love them all, they are not mine like Aidan was. I am pretty sure I will miss him until the day I die.
