The reason you can't kill Quinn is because when the game first released, companions had set roles like healer, tank, and dps, well it turns out Quinn was the only healer the Sith Warrior had access to so they had to remove the ability to kill him

I hate when you can kill off companions only later by the expansions rather than in the base game. But I guess the project is too ambitious where companion trust system (that choices matter in the class story depending on how the companions views you and act accordingly) can be implemented, then again the money is mostly spend on marketing and voice acting rather than the gameplay using 2006 game engine.

Marr is truly a gigachad of the Sith Empire.

I still play the game, occasionally the original class stories even, and the maximum amount of time it rakes for me to reach a mission area after being given the mission is like maybe 2 minutes walking, although on average it is way shorter. I’ve noticed the walking is definitely not as annoying as classic WoW

The option to kill Quinn was in the beta but because he was the only healing companion for the Sith Warrior at the time(before the 4.0 rework), he had to be alive. Fortunately you can kill him in one of the expansions.

You will never know the pain of being mountless on Hoth, back during the days of needing to explore in order to unlock QT and Taxi points (and the pain of forgetting to click on a QT point). Back in my day, we had to walk through the frozen wastes, dreaming of a hot glass of green milk from space seals and getting home. And that music. The insufferable music. It's beautiful for the first 10 minutes, but then it becomes a melody created by even the most vile of harpies. Also Vette is overrated. Don't @ me.
