Is it just me or do all viewers remember you are almost ALWAYS by yourself getting all this footage?!! All while balancing and climbing around on rocks, navigating, camera placement, lighting, thinking about the story and content you are getting AND fishing conditions, safety, weather and fishing strategies!!! Not to mention carrying all your equipment! Incredible! So many things had to go right in a matter of a few minutes when you hooked that big snook! Way to quickly and calmly bring it all together!!! Congratulations!

💯 Props to Lawson for using his voice to bring attention to this problem. This is something I always do as well but it’s just disheartening how many anglers out there have zero respect for conservation. At our local ponds in Los Angeles I leave every spot with pockets full of discarded line and have caught and freed at least 2-3 geese who are tangled in line. You see a lot who have already just lost limbs. Absolutely no excuse to leave a cutoff on the ground. Laziness.

This video helps show people how much time can actually be involved with big fish catches. To many people see a picture of people with big fish and think people are always catching them. This just helps show what is all involved!
@randomjackson5742 ай бұрын
Lawson, you are the heartbreak kid of putting in so much time on small bodies of water, love how you put it out how much time you actually spent in that spot. Most people watch fishing videos, think its fish after fish after fish.. I work winters in Florida, got a poke boat, and when weather permits, i get over in the mangroves on weekends on the backside of Sanibel. Some days i see 200-300 snook and reds cruising, some absolute monsters mixed in, throw the arsenal at them, and they just wont go. Its that one half hour of right place, right time when you are there that makes it all worth it. snook sleep 23 1/2 hours a day sleeping, The other half hour eating everything they can see. You get itchy for a gulfside trip....

In my expirence when possible its best to cast before the water spills over and let your bait get tossed around, they are waiting for stunned fish to come over that flow

Great video my friend. I went on a quest like this up north to try to catch a northern pike or a muskie before I left well I finally caught a 26-in Pike. I had fished a point on a beach for over 4 hours. I know a lot of people would stay 26 in is small but to me it was cool. I just wanted to catch one. The fun of fishing

The gantarels have terrible hooks. I blew then out on a 5lb+ large mouth. They went into the trash that night. I broke one of the hooks on a river 2 sea 200 S-waver. After those two incidents, I no longer run any factory hooks. They to get changed to gamakatsu or Owner.
