I Fixed AWFUL Pokemon Sprites! Today I've taken 3 of the original pixel art sprites from Pokemon Red and Green and given them a much needed recreation! I go through each step of my art and painting process, and talk about old Pokemon memories from my many years as a Pokemon fan. :) All the painting in this video was done in Clip Studio Paint or Procreate!

BEFORE YOU COMMENT ABT THE TITLE: In hindsight, the title and the video are pretty mismatched hahah, it didn’t occur to me that it’d read like a pixel art video beforehand. My bad!! If you have alternate title suggestions, LMK and I’ll change it! I don’t know why I didn’t think of doing pixel art at first anyway bc that would’ve been a tonne of fun. I’ll def correct it if I end up making a sequel video lol. Tyvm

I know that's not what you do, but the wording of the title made me think you would make better gen 1 style pixel art sprites for them, not drawings. I still liked it though obviously.

that's truuuuuue, that read of the title didn't cross my mind at the time hahah, oops. If I make a follow up video I'll def do some pixel art for it, that'd be really fun actually.

@@davsketch Oh that would be really cool yeah. I tried my hand at making some gen 1 style pixel art myself but whether it's drawing or pixel art, I really don't know how to do the shading ^^'

@@Oceane1803 Just imagine where the light is in the place you want the charecter to be in, [If there is light anywhere in the area] and then put shadows in the areas the light doesn't hit and lighten the areas the light is hitting directly. I don't know how to shade that much either, and I'm terrible at pixel art. this is the best explanation I can give. So If you want a better explanation, you can search up a tutorial.

those drawings were really good, especially knowing it was your first time with those body shapes the first few mews and dragonites were quite cute, but the bulbasaurs were legit very funny, meme worth even, but they steadily get cuter please if you ever do more of these, do more more of these lol

the editing, the art, and the personality make this video awesome. im sad to see how over saturated the pokemon content creation field is because some very low quality stuff can get to the top and people like you suffer becoause of it. but i love this video and you seem like a really nice person so i gave you a like :) have a nice day!

by the way for some critics, im not an artist and i dont know why, but i just hate the tail on that dragonite. its almost 3d the way you blended it, and it doesnt fit with the look of the rest of the drawing. this isnt bad or anyhintg its just something that i noticed. it looks great though! only my little nitpick :)

I've considered it!! I don't have any video plans for it right now, but I'd love to do a video where I create a Pokemon region from scratch within a time limit. 24 hours to do a basic map, starter Pokemon and some extra lil guys.

It's always fun seeing artists doing new things, especially you how "just" started doing projects, All the drawings look gorgeos of course(altough I prefer the first mew design), and I hope you do more varied stuff soon!

Came for Mew, stayed for Mew. Mew is the best Pokémon. Also if you think about it, Mew is like Jesus in the Pokémon lore. lol.
